THE GOOD:
story line.

THE BAD:
grpahics,gameplay and setup.

SUMMARY:
The storey line is also of a top quality. the bad point about it is the graphics. This game is better if you use a controller but this does nto improve it enough, it is alot better on the N64.

For all the hype and hoopla the game just lacks any innovation. The graphics are dark and poor. The idea of sidekicks??? What the hell was Romero smoking? If we wanted Final Fantasy 8 we would buy it! The enmy bots and ai is lame! There is absolutely no innovation or improvement on an old worn out game engine! If he was going to go retro on use then why note make this sucker run on some older slower machines! My P-3 TNT2 machine just eats this up and spits it out! Any what teh hell is the idea of save gems? THIS REALLY SUCKS! C'mon... the hype and hoopla just don't cut it fo a mediocre game! It should be in the discount bin any day now! SUCKS the BIG ONE!!!!

Positives:
*Nothing

Negatives:
-Stupid enemies
-more stupid sidekicks (they shoot at you often)
-Worst first map (level) ever
-some bugs.. Doors can shot down rapidly and kill you
-No EAX sounds
-every way outdated game

Final Thoughts: If you still consider buying this
ask sales clerk that if they accept it back if you
dont like it.
Also some sites has reported bug what has in last level making it impossible to complete game, this is fixed patch what should be out pretty soon.
Also some people has problems with their Voodoo cards and Daikatana preventing game running at all, there is fix for that too but it requires some computer skills and not everybody cant do it
themselfs.

This is probably one of the worst games I've ever played. Combine totally lame enemy AI with bad sound, bad voice acting, rediculous sidekicks and save gems (why?)add a copious ammount of random crashes and bugs which make it impossible to finish the game, and you have a recipe for disaster. Had this game been released 2 years ago without all the hype it might have been ok. But FPS games have moved on... Half-life, Quake 3, and UT have all raised the bar for which all FPS's will be measured against. Daikatana doesn't come close to any of them. Their ad campaign stating that Romero's game would make us his bitch were slightly off... the game is MAKING us bitch. Seems to me that the trolls are having more fun flaming on the message boards than gamers are having playing the game. Oh, well at least there are plenty of other games to choose from.
