EVE Online: The Second Genesis

THE GOOD:
Great people make great games. Excellent non-pvp game as well as pvp. Great manufacturing system, great researching system, great loot system, great pvp system, player owned stations, huge universe to explore, and more

THE BAD:
There are a few bugs left, yes. Most of the bad ones have been taken care of. Most of the earlier reviews were correct back then, but many patches and mini-patches later, the bad bugs are mostly gone.

SUMMARY:
Many people when playing this game for the first time FAIL to see the depth of the game. There is a lot going on here. Very much of the game can be, if you want it to be, politics between rival corporations and alliances of corporations. Huge wars and many minor fights are going on often.
For those of you, who like me, get tired of all that sometimes, there is a lot of scientific research available to do. The list of Science skills is one of the largest lists in the game.

THE GOOD:
Great graphics and music
Big gameworld
Largely player-driven
Skill system offers off-line training

THE BAD:
Essentially nothing new (no levelgrind, but isk-grind)
PvP framework is horribly flawed
Slow development
Huge learning curve
Lousy customer support
Not really suited for the casual player, even though the game claims to be

SUMMARY:
Basically, Eve sucks. But, in the words of CCP themselves, lots of stuff is coming soon(tm).

'It shows so much promise'. This review may sound like a rant, and yes it is. I cannot understand for the life of me why so many possibilities for challenging gameplay are thrown away...it seems to be the bane of MMORPGs. I've heard much of the same comments from friends playing other MMOs. Come on folks, let's progress the genre somewhat.

Bad? *sniffle* Putting anything bad in this game would be incorrect.....*sniffle*

SUMMARY:
THIS IS THE BEST GAME FOR THE PC!!!! IT'S JUST SO AMAZING!!!!! The graphics are just exciting and awesome!!! You live a second life in a BIG-BIG-BIGGY-BIG galaxy. You can do so many things! It's just amazing! Other games for PC might have a slight amount of technical issues, but not EVE. When I was playing this amazing experience, not once did I stumble onto a single glitch! (Note to other people who reviewed this game: If you have a Windows XP computer with DirectX 9.0b in it, the game should work just fine.) I just enjoy every bit in this truly amazing...

CAUTION!
i waited for this game, a long time before it finally was released. when it did, it was buggier than most other mmorpgs (even when they were released for the first time) except shadowbane. (and anarchy online was that buggy at the release,, maybe a bit less) So a few weeks of playing after the release of the game, i got tired of the bugs, and quit the game hoping that it would get better in time while i was gone.
3 MONTHS HAVE PASSED SINCE THAN! AND UNBELIVEBLY THE GAME IS !!``WORSE``!! than when it was released,, u still have the same bugs,, plus many new ones,, PLUS bugs (and things like that) HAPPEN MUCH OFTEN THAN BEFORE!! IT HAS REACHED THE POINT OF BEING UNPLAYABLE!!

i know that the game sounds tempting
i know that the game is addictive
i know that there are cool ships, and lots of things to do
