What They Say:

"3DO and New World Computing have accomplished what few others have seem to be able to do--release an add-on that makes a great game even better. They've added more of what was liked in the original, and a lot more in the way of scenarios and campaigns. Dedicated fans of the series have longed for a random map generator, and Armageddon's Blade provides a good one. The campaign editor was a complete surprise and one that will keep people playing this until Heroes of Might and Magic IV hits retail shelves."

"In short, the few quibbles we might have with the game are so insignificant as to be squashed flat under the sheer weight of all its good points. If it's possible to improve on perfection, New World has done exactly that with Heroes III: Armageddon's Blade."

"Armageddon’s Blade provides a very solid improvement to the HOMM3 world, and the Conflux town and its denizens are welcome additions. I am certain that the instabilities that popped up after installing this expansion will soon be addressed by NWC and 3D0, and therefore I wholeheartedly recommend this expansion (and the original) to any fan of turn-based fantasy strategy."

"An excellent expansion to an excellent turn-based fantasy war game."
"On the whole, Armageddon's Blade is a great value, with very few negative points that were not present in the original game. Some of the warts in the original are taken care of, and the little nit-picking things that some people (like me!) think of have been addressed as well. I think this is a good buy. If only I had let go of my first impressions, I may have had years of fun. Oh well, "hindsight is always 20/20" as the saying goes."
