Pop in a favorite CD or MP3, and it makes that highway for you. The "stomp-stomp-clap" of "We Will Rock You" makes for perfectly timed bumps and rushes of speed, followed by a high-velocity plunge when the chorus kicks in; take a leisurely drive with some Eric Clapton acoustic noodling, or a mad, frantic descent with your favorite ludicrous DragonForce track.
Audiosurf takes music tracks and creates a sci-fi "highway" for your little ship to maneuver through, and the twists, turns, and bumps in the road happen to the beat of the music you feed it. Littering the road are "cars", blocks that you must either collect for points or avoid to stay alive, depending on the gameplay mode you chose - these, too, occur based on the layout and instrumentation of the songs you feed it.

"In principle nothing but praise for this game. Those that can look past the horrible interface and some occasional graphical bugs get a fun, original and highly addictive game for not even one fifth of the usual price. On top of that the entire soundtrack of Half-Life 2: The Orange Box comes with the game so that you also immediately have some music to play with."

"Obviously a work of passion, Audiosurf is a game that must not be missed by anyone, especially with an above average interest in music."
