SUMMARY:
This game is a First Person Shooter(FPS) set in an underwater world in the 1960's. The game starts off with a plane crash near a rather strangely placed tower in the middle of the sea. Entering the tower leads to a submerging bell that leads the player into an under water world and having a small movie shown to them by the creator of the said city.
The player soon finds themself in Raptor, an underwater world. The designs are rather Art Deco and most of the weaponry in the game reflects the era tho some are of a slightly more recent tone. You can also buy ammo and health kits from various vending machines around the game, these can also be hacked to give more ammo and to supply items for cheaper.
the player also gets various abilities from gene splicing tonics around the place. These include the ability to toss lightning from ones hand and the ability set enemy on flames. These consume energy and to replace energy a player needs to get eve. A persons gene's can be upgraded easier by the collection of Adam that are stolen from "little sisters", tho how much adam a player steals is up to them, steal a bit then the "little sister" will return to being a normal little girl. Steal too much and the little sister will die but you will get alot more Adam.
For other purposes there are also three categories, of tonics in the game. These Tonics make the player stronger/better in some form or another. These can including being harder to detect, inflicting more damage, causing an effect on striking or simply recovering more health/eve from items. Using these tonics allows for some variance in how you can set up your character and can mean you can do a few things different dependant to how you feel.
For anyone familiar with any FPS the controls should be fairly easy to get us to. It can be a challenging game but it's not very long. If it were not for the requirements having to kill certain people or collect certain items this game could probably be sped run quite quickly. There also aren't very many bosses either, so you don't get many tricky or hard battles to contend with.
It is a good game but I just don't think it's long enough... So it's not a game to get for longevity.
As a note the weapons include :-
- A wench
- A submachine gun
- A shotgun
- A Camera (for researching weaknesses)
- A grenade Launcher
- a Crossbow
The spliced abilities include
- A lightning Bolt
- A enflame ability
- A ttelekenisis ability
- A freeze effect
- A confusion ability
- A charm effect for "big daddies"
They tend to be more effective in battle than old women.
