"And yes, there's more. There will be nights and days in the levels of Deep Fighter, so you can, in real time, watch the watery world turn from a shining, lively place in the daytime to a dark, dreary grave in the night. You can watch as the moon moves across the sky, or as the sunbeams in the water slowly disappears. Even more -- tidal effects are actually taken into account as well!! That means, the water level will change according to the time of the day, leaving some areas accessible only at certain periods. This should make some very, very interesting puzzles and exploration elements."

"Deep Fighter combines elements of 3D dog-fighting and exploration in true 3D environments that provide an abundance of natural cover, obstacles and enemies. Armed with unique weapons, people will command multiple assault formations in five realistic, non-linear environments such as the Abyss and the Lost City. These true 3D worlds react and evolve as well as adapt to the user's abilities and progression."

"...absolutely huge physical environments... the destruction is simply too understated... The controls are very easy to learn... combat is a mixed bag..."

"Deep Fighter is an underwater action game that combines elements of furious 3D dog-fighting and challenging exploration in true 3D environments. Yes, this title sounds similar to Criterion's first underwater-based action game "Sub Culture", but according to Jenkins "it's a very different game from Sub Culture." For instance Sub Culture featured smaller environments with a lot of similar landscapes. Criterion this time around is making sure that the evironments are vast and varied."
"This game is beautiful, not the Ground Control level of wow, but very good looking. "
