General/Summary: In summary, Earth 2150: Lost Souls is a great game, but only if you're a fan of the series. Newcomers may find it a bit boring, and difficult. The graphics and sound are excellent, but it lacks slightly in gameplay.
It also has an extensive map creator, which is truly the best I have seen in any game, with the ability to create any landscape you'd want.
The ability to zoom and rotate the viewpoint is also very handy. Gameplay: The gameplay is the only downfall of this game. Most missions just revolve around building walls of gun turrets and getting the biggest tanks you can to destroy the enemy. The gameplay is also very slow, and it takes a very long time to create an army.
The lack of infantry is rather annoying, though.
There are some bonuses, though. The units and weapons are all very VERY cool and firefights look amazing, and watching a battle is pretty exciting.
Graphics: The graphics in the game are excellent, fully 3d battlefields with great looking units and structures. Everything in this game looks very dark and sinister and a bit archaic.
The game also uses good lighting effects, with laser pulses lighting up the battlefield as they whizz around, and electroguns making everything glow. These battles look even better at night :-)
Sound: This game has the best music in almost any computer game. The weapon sounds, if a little quite, are also good, and you can also hear the vehicles' engines as they move around.
The unit voices are also very good, and match the races and feel of the game pretty well (although they all have american accents, which I detest). I'd rather have them have Russian, German, Japanese, and English accents, like in the German version.
