THE GOOD:The story i would say is one of this games best features, the graphics are very nice in some areas, its beautifully coloured, it has some really hot bright colours, the gameplay is good, the atmosphere is good but a little dark some of the time but not in a bad way like a real horror game. no!
THE BAD:
The only bad thing i can think of is that it could have looked nice on the ps2 and shouldnt have been such a rushed port, but its still well worth while.
SUMMARY:
I would highly recommend this game for rpg gamers. I forgot to mention the voice acting, yeah the voice acting is very good i think, in this game there is humor, alot of sadness, and some mild horror, its very nicely put together, and the story i think is the best part of the game not to mention the battle system is great, its so much fun leveling up in this game maxing out skills and making them appear. If you liked final fantasy 7 alot then you should like this too, there are some really emotional sections in this game too. I played this game on the dreamcast and i played it on the ps2, the graphics are better on the dreamcast cause on the ps2 it was a rushed port as i said, some of the fmv s at the beginning were chopped off and ruined and its kind of blurry in the beginning on the ps2, but this is what i think, as you progress through the ps2 grandia 2 the graphics seemed to improve. I would recommend if you do want this game to get it on the dreamcast but if you dont have a dreamcast still definatley get it on the ps2. I only bought it for the ps2 as my dreamcast coppied one kept freezing, and wont work now. When i saw it second hand for 40 dollars i hadto grab it fast, cause that was a very good price for such a top game. The music is also good in this game, and its the type of game that will keep you pinned to your seat or bed where ever you may be playing it. Just be careful you dont get to bed at 6am in the morning, its enclined to have that effect.
