Counter-Strike

THE BAD:
Cheaters. The graphics are kinda outdated.

SUMMARY:
If you haven't heard about Counter-Strike, you've probably been in outer-space. Counter-Strike is a very, very, very popular mod of the award winning PC game, Half-Life. It's multiplayer only, but that doesn't take away any of the fun factor. There's two sides to every battle. Counter-Terrorists do numerous things, like rescue hostages, defuse bombs, etc. Terrorists are the opposing force, and try to screw up life for everybody. The selection of weapons are amazing. The only thing you have to watch out for are cheaters! And, since this game came out in 1999, the graphics are a little bit out-dated. That doesn't mean anything, though. If you have a computer and broadband, you should be playing this game instead of reading this review. Yeah, that's how good it is.

THE BAD:
Cheaters! those *******!

SUMMARY:
I love this game. I found it through a club in my school, a games club run by the head of D.T. Who now can't do it because he got promoted. Anyway this game is great for playing with friends if you have a couple of PCs or laptops. This game is so popular it is loved around the world. If you are thoinking of buying Half-Life get a pack with Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Opposing force and blue shift they are all great games. There are bots that you can download my opinion is Pod Bots because you can download waypoints for maps. You can download and maps for Counter-Strike and waypoints for these maps aswell. I give this game two thumbs way up for it's great multiplayer but the cheaters on the net beware of.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
I docked it 0.1 mark simply because of the volume of cheaters in virtually all of the servers. But it isnt the games fault as it is quite unstoppable. Howver hours of fun can be had in the most popular online game in the world. You can download the game off of steam if you already have half life, this makes it very easy to get. the graphics are dated but show me a game using a 1998 engine that looks better and is still this poular??? A good internet connection is needed nowadays as 56k below seems to lag endlessly. the maps are great to play on and the action gets ur heart a pumpin'

THE BAD:
The graphics are sub-par, but what do you expect for an old MOD? You can't have it all. This is the Space Invaders of modificitions.
Despite that, the guns are modelled nicely, but the blood looks like big chunks of frozen Tomato Ketchup flying through the air...

Another shame is, there are constantly new updates, which, with a 56k modem, (or below) these will be a nightmare to download. But, you can get them off your local PC magazine; "That'll be £6 please." Sheesh.

Aah, Hackers! Cheaters! If you are expecting to have a great game Online, be sure to choose a decent server, please, don't blame me. Every review here should say that, so come on, all of us against you, believe the synpes.

SUMMARY:
The gamplay is so old-fashioned, to this day it seems rather comical, but it's not a game for retro-nostilga freaks.

Every Tuesday after School finishes, me and my chums go to our School's little Games Club, to shoot eachother other LAN, which is the best way.
(We also have a shop downtown called Ego, where we pay-to-play, most Saturdays..Hey, that rhymes!)

As cheap as a Chinese Leather Jacket, this is a must if you have a High-Connection Speed, and have the latest version.

THE BAD:
The damage that the guns do. I mean seriously i dont know one person that can take 9 bullets. I mena the TMP, you firea whole clip into someone and 30 bullets just about rounds up to 1 point of damage!

SUMMARY:
First off just shut the hell up all of you! My God you know nothing! Who cares about graphics, it is game play that matters not the graphic detail. If you complain about the graphics of any game you should be shot and killed or at least never allowed to play another computer. For that matter another game in your life! If you want ot play a game with good graphics wait for Half-Life 2 to come out or Counter Strike 2, wait why do i even say that you will probly complain about those too.

THE BAD:
1. Graphics - Graphics are good but not excellent, still I consider this as a weak point.
2. Hackers - A lot hacking can be going on at times which can be frustrating.
3. AWM campers (snipers) - The part which I mostly hate, I hate the AWM snipers, they just hide around and as soon as a person appears the shoot and your dead meat

SUMMARY:
Everything is good in Counterstrike especially the multiplayer option. You can play this game in internet cafes with your friends and have a lot of fun. Its just so addictive you wont want to leave it once you start playing. Once I started I couldnt stop playing it until my mom got mad at me. So If you are looking for a great exciting and enthuiasitc game than choose CS.

This is a really great game. They made an update recently i just hope they make more. The things I would like to see is more interaction with knifes. As people are more experienced the game should be too. It didnt take me that long to understand the controls and everything but now I get it and thats all.

THE BAD:
Graphics aren't the best, but they certainally aren't bad. Also its slower on 56K connections.

SUMMARY:
For sure one of the best Half-Life Mods out there. Although this is not just a mod, its a amazing game. Thousands and thousands of players play this game daily so you will never have a problem finding peoeple/severs to play on.

Good graphics, fun overall, and a very addiciting online FPS.

If you have cable and like online FPS, get it. And if you have half-life just simply go online and download the game. If not then by the stand alone verision of it.

Been playing for about 2-3 years and still think its a good game.
