SUMMARY: This is a really great game. They made an update recently i just hope they make more. The things I would like to see is more interaction with knifes. As people are more experienced the game should be too. It didnt take me that long to understand the controls and everything but now I get it and thats all.

THE GOOD: Great gameplay. Not just like Wolfwenstein 3D, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, 2, 3, SOF, etc., etc. etc. Horribly addictive.
THE BAD: Graphics and sound could be better, but who cares when the gameplay is this good. Horribly addictive.
SUMMARY: Counter-Strike is [insert four letter word]-ing awesome. It's just like playing cops and robbers with the gang in the old days (just a lot better). It has a terrific blend of tactical teamplay and all-out, no-holds-barred, rambo action. You can chose between close quarters battle with an auto-shotgun, or sniping from unseen locations with an Arctic Warfare Magnum (AWP killing enemies with one shot to the kneecap. I've been playing since Beta 6.5 and I agree that this game has gone slightly downhill since then, but it's still an amazing game. This has to be one of the greatest squad based games of all time except for maybe TF2.
THE GOOD: 1. Weapons - It has the best real life weapons for example, Ak-47, The M4A1 Carbine, Steyr AUG, MP4 Navy, Grenades, Flashbangs, C4's etc. 2. Teams - There are two teams the Police (CT) And the terrorists (T)both have battles against each other. 3. Maps - There are hundreds of maps for CS each one of them having there own flavour. Some of the best maps I recomend are: cs_mansion, de_aztec, de_dust, cs_bloodstrike, fy_poolday 4. Multiplayer 5. Addictiveness
THE BAD: 1. Graphics - Graphics are good but not excellent, still I consider this as a weak point. 2. Hackers - A lot hacking can be going on at times which can be frustrating. 3. AWM campers (snipers) - The part which I mostly hate, I hate the AWM snipers, they just hide around and as soon as a person appears the shoot and your dead meat

THE GOOD: It's a great game for any PCer that likes First-Person Shooing. The best things about this game is that you can meet friends online, cutomize it (models, maps) to the fullest extent, join a clan, and many others. The best PC game in my opinion
THE BAD: You should have a fast connection to the internet to play it. If you do not, playing it might not be fun because you will lag.

THE BAD: Some maps lag machines because of size, Some other people playing online can make the game suck
SUMMARY: Great game, I have not played quake since I first played CS back in Beta 5. Game is insanely addictive. Tons of maps. Tons of servers and people to play online. Tons of fun.
THE GOOD: Thousands of PC gamers online at all times, one of the largest online gaming games. Free to download and very addiciting and fun
THE BAD: Graphics aren't the best, but they certainally aren't bad. Also its slower on 56K connections.
SUMMARY: For sure one of the best Half-Life Mods out there. Although this is not just a mod, its a amazing game. Thousands and thousands of players play this game daily so you will never have a problem finding peoeple/severs to play on.
Good graphics, fun overall, and a very addiciting online FPS.
If you have cable and like online FPS, get it. And if you have half-life just simply go online and download the game. If not then by the stand alone verision of it.

THE GOOD: Horribly and hopelessly addictive. The realistic terrorist gameplay is great and addictive. The Half-Life engine works its best in Counterstrike's graphics.
THE BAD: Nothing really, unless it lags.
SUMMARY: None other shooter game compares with Counterstrike, not even Rogue Spear. Why? Because Counterstrike is an actual realistic game. There are never guns around the place for you to pick up, you must equip yourself with them. It doesn't take 20 shots to kill a guy even with armor, it takes like 3 in Counterstrike. You won't survive a real-life mission going alone, you need the team support. Counterstrike shows realistic and team-based game. Its been the best shooter game since Team Fortress.
SUMMARY: This is the best Firts Person Shooter multiplayer game since Goldeneye. Not only is this game better, it's a online version. I love being able to battle lots of other people. There are also many weapons to choose from.
THE GOOD: The simplicity. The variety of maps. The weapons.
THE BAD: Cheaters. The graphics are kinda outdated.
SUMMARY: If you haven't heard about Counter-Strike, you've probably been in outer-space. Counter-Strike is a very, very, very popular mod of the award winning PC game, Half-Life. It's multiplayer only, but that doesn't take away any of the fun factor. There's two sides to every battle. Counter-Terrorists do numerous things, like rescue hostages, defuse bombs, etc. Terrorists are the opposing force, and try to screw up life for everybody. The selection of weapons are amazing. The only thing you have to watch out for are cheaters! And, since this game came out in 1999, the graphics are a little bit out-dated. That doesn't mean anything, though. If you have a computer and broadband, you should be playing this game instead of reading this review. Yeah, that's how good it is.
