Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed

THE BAD:
can't change or add new music to the audio list, and doesn't like to cooperate with the n-vidia geforce driver cards.

SUMMARY:
with all the available addon cars, revamping (reconfiguring) tools, and saved plays out there, a person would be hard pressed to lose interest in this game any time soon. i just bought nfs6 yesterday and was ashamed when i witnessed the sluggish gameplay and 'boxy' graphics, although the cars ARE very nice looking. the controls are very erratic as well, even with my microsoft sidewinder wheel with force-feedback (which i LOVE!) this wheel REWLZ with nfs5, and about every other game i've used it on (with exception of nfs4 - high stakes). i have a radeon 7500 card with DDR, so as to avoid the hang-ups i got with my n-vidia card a few months back, and the radeon works flawlessly!
in nfs6, the game almost acts as if the card doesn't exist, even when i drop the rendering and graphics to 800x @ 16 bits. that BLOWS! very 'frames-per-second'-ish, and i had to go into a sub-category of my wheel device to augment the default keyboard functions to accomodate for the accuracy of gameplay. also, when i let off the gas, it automatically acts as a brake and sends me FLYING blindly in reverse if i don't apply the brake or gas-on again in a fair amount of time.
sorry for my rant, but i just thought the nfs6 game would supercede nfs5 - it doesn't, by any means. nfs5 is still the standard for pc driveability gaming, and most likely shall be, in my office, for some time to come. peace and happy motoring! -fatshaft-

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
It should be more than just porsche.. should be more brands, like mercedes and bmw.. with the same options.. parts, evolution.. and there should be more parts, not just the ones that are already in the game.. more racing stuff to put on the cars and that sorts of things.. what i like in the game is the freedom to build up the cars like you want to.. change parts.. rims.. and everything else.. doesn't someone agree with me? and btw.. ea should make more cars to download.. and make programs to let ordinary people make parts and cars as they see fit..

THE BAD:
Not one dang thing!!!!!

SUMMARY:
Evolution has over 80 porsche from the first 356 to the 1978 911 Turbo to the 1988 944 Turbo S to the 1998 Porsche racer!! Upgrade your ride, repair your car, Rush past traffic at 200km an hour.

Factory driver has a team of people including you and you have to do various task for them. Deliver a '95 Porsche 911 Turbo in perfect condition, or, your screwed. Test handling capabilities of all kinds of models. Do 360's on a set up course. Even do a commercial for Porsche.

Quick race for the casual or the just-can't-wait racer.set up the corse how you like. Drive a few models and later drive the models you own in your garage!! test your abilities with the road full of traffic.

This game is awesome!! BUY IT!!!!!!!!

THE BAD:
too few tracks...and some little things not worth mentioning of...(like f.e. windscreenwhipers which were "working" in Test Drive 3)...and ofcourse I mus mention accidents, I think that damage is very non-realistic(or maybe not, but I think when a car hits the tree it should practicly stop)

SUMMARY:
Idea itself was very original...going through the history of porsches but I guess(by my oppinion) that the game get repetable after a while (in other words boring) but which game doesn't?
All in all impressive game knowing that it came form EA, 'cause this kind of a game I expected to come from Microprose or somebody else but not from EA...well, everybody can surprise you sometime.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
Loved this game, very good graphics, but needs to have the ability to add the newer porschers into it like the carrera gt. but still i liked the fact that you start with the older 356 model and build your way up through the models. Also the car sounds are very good.

Over all i would give this game a 5 out of 5.

THE BAD:
Well, somthing bad, is that, when you finish an era, you cant return to it, for run again, or buy new cars.

SUMMARY:
I think that is a good game. You need to play it for believe it.

Tracks r not only races foward but u have to race them backwards to.Why does EA continue to do that to us.well because there lazy and want to push the game out as quick as they can with the least amount of effort to give us people who but there game more tracks to drive.

Anyways this is a great racing game.If u love porsches u will love this game its good .
