THE GOOD:
ok if u got a fast computer and a good video card your set. it's fun to play online. i forget a fast internet too dsl or somthin.

THE BAD:
patches you can download off the internet but it won't always work. it's is so hard when you are a noobie (beginer) when u play u get killed alot u well probly quit. but i stuck to playin the game this game is not like fighting games which get anoying after a while. it well last you for years i've ben playin for 4 years i finaly am good at it. it won't seem repititive like fighting games im still addictited to it i startes in 2000 and now its 04.

SUMMARY:
i sugest you complete single player mode on i can win once you've done that go online. start playing at tournements. then move to ctf. then move to freeze. you'll make lots of friends u can chat and alll that while playin. i've made friends and enemys by the way if you come across a bully don't let him make fun of u it well hurt u, it did to me...

THE GOOD:
The graphics
The smooth play
Best netcode on cable modem
Highly customizeable
Tons of Mods like Rocket Arena

THE BAD:
Its better technology than good game. The Q3 engine is/was amazing but not even that was enuff to make this a great game. Q3 will be remembered not for what it was but what it helpped usher in and onto pc.

SUMMARY:
This game came out in december 1999. Get something newer and better. If you missed out on the game's online heyday and werent a part of it I feel both sorry and envious for you. The absolute best and worst part of any online game universe, such as Quake, is the people. Q3 did nothing to help even out the playing field and fun usually gave in to pro players and poor players. One of the last FFA and the first truly Tourney (it was designed for it, poorly), Q3 came out at the tail end of ppl's interest in a mindnumbing run-and-gun pointless kill everything that moves experience....

THE GOOD:
Runs smoothly, decent graphics, good multiplayer

THE BAD:
No proper single player, too many large patches, nothing to make it stand out from other first person shooters.

SUMMARY:
This is a decent game but it really doesn't stand out much from other games, the stages are nice but get boring after a while and the one player mode gets generally boring after a while

The multiplayer is quite nice and will keep you playing for a while but still there isn't much to set this apart from the competition.

Your best not to buy this game and get halo instead.

This is a great improvement from the older version, mass destruction and mass damage can be done in this game specially online.....
I love this game, just cant wait until Quake IV comes out....

SUMMARY:
Cant get enough of this game, its been a while and i still love it....
Online its so crazy soo much movement so much action going on....
Also the Ai is great on skill, and on harder levels they can be a great challenge....

THE GOOD:
Linux version runs on Win32 systems. Great network code. The mods. Compatible with many 3d api's. Customization oportunities.

THE BAD:
Patches, patches, patches, and they're huge too. They screwed up the BFG. No single player (that is if you consider bots single player). Poor level design.

SUMMARY:
Another typical fps for the pc. This one is just to train to fight in the multiplayer world.

A risky move on id software's part, but they accomplished it. Too bad the bots get old fast. The level design is inferior. If you play Ra3 or CTF it gets better.

I'm not a big fan of space levels. It's nice to know they added it, but it seems unfair to HPB's when they get instagibbed when they touch any of the jump pads. Thank goodness for the railgun. It's even more unfair in Quake III than it was in Quake II. The only time it's fair is when they're a fragfest, or a team game. Otherwise DM on space levels is dominated by LPB...
