SUMMARY:
Rome: Total War is an epic masterpiece of a game from Creative Assembly. The graphics are excellent, especially when you consider all of the men on screen. Thousands of individual men can be rendered in stunning detail that you can easily enjoy due to a camera that allows you to view the action very up close.

Equal to, or possibly better than, the graphics is the music. It fits the environment perfectly and is a joy to listen to. During battle, the music is interactive and changes depending on what is currently happening.

The gameplay is the best part of the game. In fact RTW is like 2 games in 1. The campaign map...

THE GOOD:
Fun game play
Graphics are amazing
Huge unit scale, you can have up to 10,000 people on the field at once
Your generals can take on traits, some are good and some are bad
Generals are from real life, as are the different factions and units
You can seriously learn a ton from this game, I know i did
The factions you can play as range from the Romans, to the barbaric Germans, or the camel-riding archers of Persia, or the elephant tamers of Carthage

THE BAD:
Sometimes the battles can get glitchy
Need a fast and good computer to run it at its fullest
Can sometimes get a little boring if you aren't good at the game

SUMMARY:
This is a new and revolutionary game, with great graphics and the ability to have 10,000 troops on the field at one time, I would buy it in a second if I were you. You have two types of maps, the battle and campaign maps. The battle map is a real-time map where battles go on. The...

THE GOOD:
Strategic Gameplay.
Huge battles.
Interface is perfect.
Music is right on target.
Battles have a good pace.
Graphics are nice for the size of the battles.

THE BAD:
If you like typical RTS battles you will not like Rome.
AI considers your Generals to be Kamekazes.

SUMMARY:
This is the perfect War Strategy Simulator. In stead of having a rock-paper-sissors effect of most RTS (ex: Unit A is strong against Unit B and weak against unit C) they went with realistic depictions of the units and their strengths. Battles are just fun, though if you like RTS games you might not really care for Rome. In most RTS games you build up an army, run them to your enemies and just have them attack. In Rome that is the sure path to destruction. You must flank, you must get the high ground, and you must have a good general to follow your troops into battle.

The interface is perfect. I never played earlier Total War games so I...

THE GOOD:
Great diplomacy, Perfect army moving system, Love the plagues except when they happen to me, love the scale of the battles, love the unique units, love sieges, love ambushes, love special abilities, love historic battles, love use of population to make armies, love how generals are made and used to an advantage, love how many people arrows kill, love catapults, love new long spear system (enemy can barely reach you) ,love siege equipment.

THE BAD:
maps too expensive, legionnaires die too fast, ambushes are too hard to do, too many revolts, too hard to keep good amount of money, need event pictures like med and music like med and some more agents.

SUMMARY:
I love this game, if they have an expansion, I have to get it.I won't say the bad, cause there's nothing more to say about the bad. love the scale of battles, you actually have to use tactics, where in med you only had to use a little .love the senate system. if you like...
