The Sims 2 developed by Maxis and distributed by Electronic Arts with the genre of life simulation.
Now let us start with the tour to The Sims 2. A great successor of Sims 1, the Sims 2. It became the bestselling game over 2004. Which sold a hundred million copies. Gamers all over the world, especially teens, bought the game. With so many expansion and stuff packs it allows you to customize anything.
You can customize anything anyhow. You can build Sims with different personalities. You can make him fat or thin. Make him nice or grouchy. You can design their head and their body with different clothes. The body shop even allows you to make your own clothes. Most of the players create the model of themselves; well, I made it. It just proves that you can make anything in it.
After you make a lot (a plain area where you build it) you come to build mode. It has a lot of customizing options from full walls to half ones. The items like paint and floor are neatly separated. If you go across the screen there is the collections tab. Now you can sort anything from eastern to Asian. It is used to build a house on a specific topic like modern. Many of the gamers enjoy building houses, furnishing it etc. It's like it's a hobby. Some build an eye-catching house.
Then comes the buy mode. A place to furnish your home and make an ugly hut into a beautiful mansion. Sims 2 allows you to customize anything anywhere anyhow. The more the expansion the more the fun, even stuff pack gives more objects. You can build an apartment to a castle or a mansion.
Then you move in your family and come across the main game. The whole simulation begins. The new thing to this is the aspiration and influence. The aspiration is a set of wants your Sims wants in his life. When one is completed the other one Aries. Then there is the 'lifetime aspiration want', and when the Sim has achieved this he has the platinum aspiration for his whole lifetime. It also affects the mood of the Sim, where the mood never decreases.
The interaction. Interacting with other Sims is advanced which makes it more realistic. The same is with interacting with other objects.
The controls are like the Sims 1. So the people who have played Sims 1 must know it. For new players it's really easy to understand them.
Well after the so much advantageous behavior of the game there is a code I call a mistake left by the producers called boolprop. It is mainly a password. It is used to test the game to its limits, or in other words to crash the game. It was used by the creators to purposefully crash the game and find bugs in it. Now the code is in the gamer's hands. It provides us with many useful options especially if you are making a Sims movie, but it may crash your game, delete your files and lots more. People claim that it has corrupted their PC, but if you don't use it then it's harmless.
