THE GOOD:
The pets add to the game well.
It's incredibly child friendly.

THE BAD:
It gets boring quickly.
It takes a while to load.
It takes up a lot of space.
You can't control the pets.

SUMMARY:
Out of all the Sims 2 expansion packs I would have to agree thi one is the most child friendly. The pets are a great feature and they do a lot of interesting things that normal pes do in real life. It can be annoying to refill the holes dug in the garden and clean up their little puddles but if it's your own cat or dog you can scold or praise it and if scolded enough it will learn to behave.

I've found that cats ae more entertaining than dogs because you can do more which is a big surprise because in over all opinion in real life, dogs do more.

You can teach your pets tricks and give them jobs. That is if you have a cat or dog. If your sim needs something more quiet they can settle down with a 'womrat' which is a rodent or a parrot. Although these things are really annoying at times because they need feeding every couple of sims hours or so and they die easily.

The game has a huge range of new sim furniture and pet toys as well as some new furniture design for boys and for those girls who like space and racing! It's fun to watch a dog chew on the plastic bone or for a cat to play with the toy mouse.

The new NPC (Non playable Charactor) is a cute skunk and if your sim interacts with it they may get sprayed! Get sprayed and you may need a shower as your sims hygiene needs plummet into the red.

The new feature of werewolves is interesting but I find it too hard to make a sim a werewolf. If your sim has a toddler or a lot of trees the pack leader may visit your lot. Ablack dog with yellow glowing eyes. Spooky. If your sim gets up every night and spends their time befriending this beast then one night the dog might strike. Get bitten by the pack leader and you become a werewolf.

This can take hours to do because as the sun rises the Pack Leader runs from the light and you have six minutes to improve the relationship with the few interactions. Six sim hours of playing catch, feeding treats and petting. The Pack Leader doesn't come every night either which can be a pain.

When your sim has been bitten, when it gets dark they grow fur and become a werewolf. Their hunger needs fall so they can rummage around in bins and raid the fridge. When your sim becomes a werewolf their personality changes to a more sloppy, rough kind of sim but you can stop this! Don't you like your sim werewolf? If not call the pet trainer on the phone and buy the cure!

Although the expansion pack sounds like it could entertain for hours, I'm sad to say it doesn't. After about an hour and a half the novelty wears off and you see that the game just provides a cat/dog a handle of tricks and some new furniture. If you love animals by all means try the game but I think you should buy it last out of all the other expansion packs as something to complete the collection.
