THE GOOD: Where to start. This game is like an addiction. Was you start playing, you don't want to stop. Though graphics improve over the years, it's still an impressive game when it comes to how smooth the graphics run. The music has to be one of my favourite things about the game. It may sound strange, but the music is great. It really gives you the realism when getting to choose what kind of music you want to play and getting your sim to dance to the music is just part of the hilarity.
The game itself had so many features to choose from, take your sim for example. Once the gender has been chosen, there are so many sims to select from. It may not have as big a selection as the new and improved 'Sims 2' but it's good enough. Your house is another bonus to a great game like this. You can either buy a house for your sim or simply build your own. Everything to carpet design to the wallpaper gives this game such incredible quality to it.

THE BAD: I dont like the way the game is so limited to ONE neighbourhood.The skins were rubbish!The faces were square,no changes in make-up or hair!Thank GOD for The Sims 2!The objects are flat and square and you cant do much in the way of interacting with objects.The idea that if you kiss or cuddle someone you get a baby!The kitchen fires are unrealistic because the walls dont get burnt or scratched and the carpets or florrs dont get worn.

SUMMARY: I first got The Sims as a Christmas present about 3 years ago and played it non-stop on my computer. All I did was play The Sims; ALL DAY! I made gigantic houses and downloaded objects and skins and made awesome storylines and all this stuff...But then it got boring. So I put it on the shelf. And it sits there until this day.
The Sims seems to mislead you with its awesome gameplay for the first two weeks. You build sweet houses and awesome careers and watch as your Sims grow old, meet other Sims, fall in love and make great purchases all in the safety of your own home...Then it gets boring. Real boring.

THE GOOD: Totally original idea, excellent programming, fun and creative, no cheap excuses for a underdeveloped features and overall a decent game.
THE BAD: Old now, not very compatible with newer machines, still a top priced game. Sound a bit dodgy.
SUMMARY: Welcome to the world of the sims. A wonderland filled with imagination and you are the god of it. Creation has no limits in this world and you own it.
You start off making a family of people and then building them a house. You look after them and tell them to do whatever you want. You can lead them to better or worse in this game and the best thing is, you can mimic your own family!
But theres still a bad side, it is a very old game now and it is still a top priced game. Also newer machines may not like this game.
THE GOOD: Create your own people. Tell them what to do. Lots of different outcomings in this game. Lots of downloadable addons. A totally fun game.
THE BAD: Old, repetitive. They die too easily.
SUMMARY: For a start, if you dont own this game by now, you are either an animal or you dont have a PC. This game goes down in history as a difinitive classic. No other life sim matches the realism, comedy, cartoonyness, excellence as this one. You start with two choices: build your own family or use one of the pre built familys. Always go for build yer own family because you can copy your own family and do all kinds of stuff with them. This game gets even better when you download new skins off the internet. But, heres just one let down, I once had a sim family of 2 adults and 1 child, the kid was studying and then the computer he was using broke and even the mechanic couldnt fix it because of a bug. SUMMARY: This is definatly one of the best games ever created for the PC it has everything a good simulation game should have, Its realistic, you can control nearly everything you sim family do. It is a great game for anyone who likes simulation games and it is really fun. I think it is alot better on PC than the ps2 as you can download updates and buy add on packs. it is also easier to control on the pc. My rating is go and buy this game I dont know how you can live with out it.

You could just torture their lives by just locking them in a room with no toilets,no food,no beds, just a plain room.You can use the quik way to just burn them up or drown them. Just have fun with them and toy around with them.
THE GOOD: Controlling your own people, whether making them have great lives or making them horrible, is fun.
THE BAD: There are expansion packs that make the original look juvenile. Selection of items, wallpaper, carpeting, etc. is limited.

SUMMARY: I was hearing a lot about this game. Most of what I was hearing was good things, so I decided that I should go ahead and try it out. I was going to buy the deluxe version, but a friend who got the deluxe version and already had the first one, went ahead and gave me his old sims game. I went ahead and installed it, and played for what seemed to be a half hour and wound up to be 2 hours. I got really addicted to this game. There are so many things to do and so little time. Although the game is addicting, you might wind up getting bored with the game because you will be repeating things over and over again. Then you can cause problems. You can set the house on fire or have someone electrocuted or just drown the entire neighborhood. It sounds mean, but you will stopped being bored.
