THE GOOD:Bullet-time adds an interesting aspect to the gameplay,
a truly engrossing story adds depth to this game.
THE BAD:
Lack of weapons and shortage of gameplay will leave most gamers dissapointed, and long load times will make you cry.
SUMMARY:
This game recieved alot of hype, some even saying it was the best game of the year. Well, for all the hype, I am truly dissapointed. There is an inherent lack of gameplay as you mostly follow a long line of repeitive shooting, dodging, shooting, dodging, shooting, dodging, etc. chained together only by a background story, not to mention that it all ends after only a few hours (most people should beat this in about four or five days). After a while playing the game, you are already familiar with almost all of the weapons, and despite some creative ones (a revolver-shotgun called the Jackhammer), those also get old very quickly.
While the bullet-time is fun and interesting to use, and the story is deeply engrossing, neither come close to saving the wretched gameplay and overall lack of playability.
While some (possibly most) Third-Person fans might enjoy this game, I would recommend Metal Gear Solid 2, a game with much more depth and replay value (not to mention loads of gameplay), both to first-timers and to long players of the genre.
