THE GOOD: >Takes a long time to clock >Every 10 coins gets you a special item >Boss fights are fun >Lots of levels
THE BAD: >Gets very, very repetitive >Mini-games >Time trial levels
SUMMARY: This is a great game for an 8 year old but many older people would find that you're just walking using gadgets and catching monkeys over and over again. It's pretty much the same as Ape Escape 1. But there are also some good things about this adventure game. It will last you a long time. The coins that you collect from defeating enemies and from walking around give you different rewards. Also, the bosses are very fun and easy to beat and the amount of levels is a good point as well. Even though I've said so much good things about, this game will still be a childrens game and a very repetitive one at that. Great for kids under 10 years old. |

THE GOOD: 300 monkeys, new gadgets, cool graghics, 3 new vehicals, replay value, they don't dumb it down for younger audience.THE BAD: Horrid camera and creepy Yellow Monkey. SUMMARY: This game is, like other people say, much like the first one (which is not bad by the way) but with new stuff, balenced levels and boss fights, new moves, and cool graphics. There is also the replay value that makes this game pretty long. The new Gotcha Box is cool add-in, then from the first game, that actually makes you want to get the gold coins and get everything. There were few bad things but one really stood out: the camera. Is alright in the levels but got you hurt by it a lot during boss fights. The yellow monkey was REALLY creepy (I'm not joking). Also, the plot for this game wasn't as deep as the first, but these things didn't stop Ape Escape 2 from being a good game and a must-buy for platform gamers. |

THE GOOD: Lots of monkey, Awesome Gadgets, Cool Mini GamesTHE BAD: Camera Angles are horrid, Not enough cookies to replinsh your life. SUMMARY: The graphics in this game are good but hey will be great for the people who played the first Ape Escape. This game has alot of replay value because there are 300 monkeys and once you get real good you can try different techinces. The stealth is alot better then in the First ape Escape. If your crawling towards a monkey and you have the net equppied and you jump he does a flip and catches the Monkey. The only thing that holds this game down is since your using the both analog sticks to move and the R1 and R2 buttons are used up fo jumping the camera is moved with the D-Pad. Very difficult to move the ccamera when your running from a boss that you can't even see. Definatly worth more than a rent because of the replay value. A Must Buy for avid gamers. |

THE GOOD: Get to run around catching Monkeys, new mini games.THE BAD: Not a huge difference from Ape Escape on PSX. SUMMARY: The first Ape Escape over on the PSX was great and I never thought it could be improved. That is until I heard about Ape Escape 2. Great new game, a whole bunch of new monkeys to catch, all with their own unique personalitys.
If you wish to catch an Elivs impersonator, then you can in this game. There is even a certain monkey by the name of Pogo. =p
Weapons are pretty much the same as the previous game, but now there is a bananarang. A boomerang, in the style of a banana that lets out a banana scent to attract monkeys which allows you to catch them.
In this game, your not travelling through time, your going through the world catching monkeys. I won't spoil the story by telling you why your catching them, and how they became so mischevious. Find that out yourself. |
