THE GOOD:
Graphics, nice and smooth. Dialouge(SP?) almost perfect because of the army feeling. And the arena battles!

THE BAD:
Controls are a little complicated at first, but you'll get used to them

SUMMARY:
Hmmmm, where to start. Oh yes! This game is AWSOME! Short(But I've never beat it cause its HARD) but cool graphics, neat wepons and a wide variety of items to buy from the shop. Simple directions in order to complete the missions your on. Its full of action! My fingers never left the controller!(Watch the opening cut scene to see what I mean, all those missles flyin' around)
As for the arena battles, I use them for money, considering I've never lost one. What can I say, they get harder so buy new wepons. But thats aside from the fact that battling other ACs alone is just plain fun.
Well thats the end of this review, play the game!

THE GOOD:
More parts, better missions,

THE BAD:
Missions too easy, same for arena.

SUMMARY:
OK well first off by saying this game is only for the Mech fans, well this game at first seemed a bit bad, but I soon found myself addicted to it, you play through 50 missions, over 70 arena ACs and not to forget an Extra Arena consisting of 2 on 2 AC fights. Ths physics of this game are alot differnt to AC2/AA, they run alot more smoother and energy is alot more important. EO(Exeed Orbit) is a nice feature new to AC, as oppose to Over Boost you can select to have floating energy guns on your AC, they dont lock greatly but recharge in ammo, they are equally as important as OB in my opinion. Also OP-Intensify, is an Optional Part that in which you must upgrade to get new abilities, these ablilities resmble the same thing Human Plus gave you, but it takes up all of your OP slots, so you will have to make a choice here.

Also Howitzers are Left Arm weapons that shoot solid shots and have a good stun.

I should add that the Overweight ability originally used in previous titles, is no more, you can go overweight at any time, but this greatly risks your mobility.

THE GOOD:
The exceed orbit and the better left arm weapons

THE BAD:
They still have the Karsawa.

SUMMARY:
The exceed orbit actually brings your core into play and the better and more variety of left arm weapons makes it better becuase now not only could have a laser blade or shield but also flamethrowers and howitzers. The ranking makes it alot more challenging in a sense because now i actually have to play some missions with weaker and cheaper parts before climbing to the top of the arena. The addition of laserblade right arm weapons makes it even that much more challenging against close range competitors. The 4-player arena is sweet. It's fun to stay back and let your partner take the damage while you snipe them out from far away with a grenade launcher. Theres very few bad things in this game or the series for that matter. But I personally never liked the karsawa but there is always one computer who is hellishly good with it for some reason.

THE GOOD:
The good.. well lets see; the AI system isn't to shaby. I haven't gotten to mess around with it too much, but after defeating about 10 guys in the arena, he can finaly follow me and almost hit me as well. The parts system is an excellent as always, and I love the new weapons. It will cause me to redo alof of my arsinal when I am playing against my friends.

THE BAD:
As usual, the SPEED!!!!!!!!!.. I'm sorry, maybe its just me, but i liked the old ones, were when some one yelled out "HUGE A BUILDING!!" it actualy ment something.. if you want to konw what it means, then read the detailed comments. I guess the controler system can be a little complicated, but there is nothing that you can really do to fix that, you should learn to live with IT!!!!!! and learn to play the game like the rest of us do. As well, some of the boards are a little hard, only in the sence that even the best of use have to pay out of our own pocket a few times for expences that caust use the options of getting new parts. I my friend Jared got an A on one of the missions and had to pay money out of his pocket!.. but since you can get money after you beat the game for just replaying the missions, you could say that it isn't a bad take off the game to be more challenging. And thats always a good thing!!

SUMMARY:
Before you get started reading this, you might want to konw that I went out and bought the game the first day it came out because I love the series so much! Though there are draw backs in this game, it did not diture me from getting it. These are just my complaints about the game I suppose. But if you don't even read the rest of this post, I would strongly suggest to you to buy the game if you like it. There are things that can be changed later, but the disiners pretty much out did themselves once again. The only complaint that I ever have is with the speed of the mechs and the semi low quality of apponents that you can challenge, but the only way they can make that better, is if they increase the speed. I am truly sorry, but there is only so much you can do with a mech that can't move, and I konw that you can still dodge missles in this game, but in the old ones you used to have a fair amount of Armore points on your mech, it was still one the faster modles out there, and you could still instill the fear of god into the computer when you challenged it!

Ok.. so what if you can beat every guy in the arena with a chain gun.... .. ok so yeah.. thats one flaw of the game. Ok so you can't beat every guy in the arena with a chain gun.. but I would wajour my copy of the game, that I can beat everyone from e to bottom b rank with that on my back, if not every one in the arena. Now I am not saying that its such a good gun, cause if you try to pull that crap on another person who is actualy proficent at piloting there AC, you will most likely lose. Cause it doesn't take much for a person who actualy konws how that weapon works to dodge it pretty much all of the time. I should know, my friend and I use it on every person in the arena, but then when it comes to us going head to head, we have to switch to our mechs that actualy require us to use some strategy in beating each other like redheaded step children. Sorry, I like to use that cause I am a red head, but thats not importaint... anyways, as I was saying. Any reall pilot can bunny hop there buts around the arena and pretty much not get touched bye that gun, while every mech you fight, and now that I think about it, with exceptions to the last few, "because of there arsinals, you actualy have to think for all of about 30 seconds of what to reconfigure your mech with to whallop them." you can pretty much parade your self around most of the arena with that gun. Yes I konw there are still some exceptions in which ones you can and can't do it too, but for the most part I think I have gotten my point across.

Now for that whole speed thing... yeah.. if any desinger wishes to make there game better and sell like hot cackes next time.. PLEASE... I can't stress this enought.... PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!!.. bring back the oridginal speed of the mechs... My friend Jared and I used to love going to the Night city and whaleping each other with concustion missles.. lol.. So the turm "HUGE A BUILDING!!" was based upon that. Those missles if I am correct.. wich I might not be.. "haven't used them in that game for a while" if all 4 hit you, would knock out a pretty good chunk.. I want to say almost a 1000.. but I might be wrong in that sence. and the only way to pretty much dodge them would be, one you were really good.. which we were and still are, or you huged a building for protection. Now a days, you can't move your stinken mech like you used to. Don't get me wrong, Over Boost is a pretty good Idea, except I could make a mech in the old game taht could travle just as fast as the fastes mech in the new Armored Core Silent Line game. Granted this was only becasue Jared and my self went at each other with the Moonlight and nothing else.. that includes radar sometimes. It could be along game sometimes, but once you found each other.. it improved our play so much that we new the first time we saw each other that someone would be dead in the next 45 seconds. I'm just saying that I and alot of people around the country miss the good old missle dodging like a champ speed of the old games.

So yeah to sum everything up, the old game you could still make the comp crap its pants at the arsinal that you carried to blow it up along with the excellent piloting skills and speed to hit him were it hurt, in the armor points and still be able to run away laughing at him when he try'ed to retaliate at you. The only complaint that I and most of my friends from different boards have is simply that its toooooo sloooooowwwww!!!!! and the arena could be a little more challenging... ok so a lot more challenging.

PS2  Strategy and mindless action combine! 5.0

THE GOOD:
- Parts
- VS. mode (bot support)
- Arena!
- Techno music
- not so impossible missions
- decent story line
- can hire helpers in some missions!

THE BAD:
- No online
- No vs. missions like in AC 2
- not big enough vs. maps

SUMMARY:
Ok heres the deal everyone this game kicks ass, and all who disagree should really take the liberty of removing there own brain and eat it. Now this game as my title states uses Strategy and mindless action. You can strategically assemble your AC for certain missions and so if repairs are needed it doesnt cost you all your money.. thats right realism is a factor in this game.. ammo costs money weapons cost money damages and repair cost money but the good thing is you get money for completing missions some, you get money up front and you dont even have to finish the mission although doing that sometimes gives you a little bonus, though you do get grades for finishing missions correctly or not.. like this is how it goes from good to bad: S, A, B, C, D, E ( only get E if you didnt complete the mission)
Well when you get all the mind planning done you can get ready to slash other robots apart and blow them to bits with a high powered machine gun also people you must remember All legs have a weight limit so there is always the chance of making your AC over weight so in the case you sometimes have to make compromises..oh and to top it all off you can give your AC its on insignia a emblem too show its yours or to state your favorite weapons manufacture in the game ahh yes the realism in this game is nice.. but of course none can forget the mindless action.. how we all love it..

THE GOOD:
Graphics, speed, controlls, smoothness.

THE BAD:
codes, hardness level of enemies.

SUMMARY:
This game is really great and is fun too, but most of the codes don't work. The code for getting a defeated AC's emblem dosen't work. But the graphics have definintly improved, the speed and sound are also alot better than the old ones, and the controlls are so easy to use making it easy to start playing pretty well right away. The thing that makes this game annoying is the computer player's ACs! They are sooo hard, and weapons ammo takes so much money if you want a good one! I'm saying that you need to be a near perfect marksman to nail stuff with somthing powerful and get some cash or you die because you took too long with a weak low cost weapon. But still everything else makes up for that.

THE GOOD:
Ammount Of Customisation Possible
Gameplay
Effects
Atmosphere
Intro FMV (Pure Ownage)

THE BAD:
Music is a little repetative

SUMMARY:
1) Cool factor: You have a massive mech with big guns and work for companies against each other, for cash, can it get much cooler then that?

2) Customisation: Whats more EVERYTHING on this mech of yours (an AC or Armored Core) is customisable with seemingly hundreds of different parts to pick from

3) Weapons: Everything from Rifles to Machene Guns, to Rocket Launchers, to Energy Rifles, to Mine Layers, To Laser Swords, you name it its there

4) "Legs": Biped, Quadraped, Reverse Joint, Hover, Tred, at least 5 in each section, again loads of customisation

5) Gameplay: Intense heated battles where you realy dont know if your gonna win or not, and long missions with little units to wear you down (Or slaughter mercilessly if you need stress releif)

6) Opening: It kicks butt, showing a full AC Battle with almost every aspect (Apart from Leg Variations) of the game

7) Plotline: I never expected to find a good plot outside of an RPG, and then this showed up

8) Graphics: I dont base games from graphics, so I cant give an oppinion here, they're good I guess

9) Music: Its a little repetative, the same tunes heard many times, but dont let that put you off at all, most of the time you wont notice

10) Multiplayer: Unfortunatly it isnt compatable with a multi-tap(would make screens too small), but you can go 4-payers with an I-Link cable, Ive never been able to do it, though I hope to in the near future, its great to try your designs out against other people

I would recomend this for:
People who like action games
People who like a good plotline
People who like giant robots beating/shooting the hell out of each other
People who like creating /customising things

I would NOT recomend this for:
People who dont have a PS2
People who are dumb and cant handle anything complicated
People who cant handle losing every once in a while
Dumbasses who think Graphics are everything (I recomend you commit suicide and save me the troubble)

THE GOOD:
Most things that were seriously missing form the first two make it into this title. The arena returns and there are tons of totally new missions. Every part is new, although they are much like the old parts with new looks. No more lagging with huge missle barages, and finally, you can use the analog.

THE BAD:
The lack of plot is still a major issue. Most people dont play the game for the story. Not too engrossing, and a complete lack of subplots may leave you feeling a bit mad. Other than that, not much. The versus mode could have been built on, as it offers the most promise. Not being able to select the top pilots in 2 on 1 battles is a little frusterating, but thats it.

SUMMARY:
Easily the best installment in the series to date, AC3 shatters the last two installments in every way. Less lagging and shorter load times leads to more action.

A completely new part lineup has been added. Each one is new, but the old ideas are the same. Kinda like a different look for the same part. There is also a completely new arena, which AC2:AA sorely missed. It's fun and tends to be a bit more challenging.

Missions are straitforward and have some good puzzle solving elements. They seem to have taken a hit as far as innovation goes. Most of the new ideas from AA are gone, like the midair missions and fights at sea. This is probably the weakpoint of the title, barring vs. mode. They could have done so much more here. Unless you have 2 TV's the split screen kills visibility. And the choiced of opponents are only in the 20's, instead of the 60's like the arena. It would've been nice to fight 2 number 1 ranks at once.

There are a few weak attempts at replay value, namely extra arena. After you beat the arena, a new one opens, where you fight 2 on 2 with a partner. Cool in concept but it plays out terribly with sub par computer AI.

If you like mechs, or customization, its a must have. Overall, a great game, it could even suprise a few people not into the genre. I's say give it a try, regardless of past feelings. You just might be suprised.

THE GOOD:
Building of the parts and creating a human jiggsaw puzzle with the power and speed or the power and the armor you could ever want, this game is rated highly amongst the users of it. Being its a nice game with controled attitude and difficulty on finding the parts that are hidden in certain levels and competing for parts and money in the arena, alongside the arena the multiplayer internet this game is a true must amongst those who love building things but love to play with the guns and glory of the battles.

THE BAD:
A few flaws graphics wize and they should have made the game a little harder then it is, once beat its a walk in the park.

SUMMARY:
On my personal opinion...the game is great. Perfectly rounded on the weapons, figuring out how much energy you need, ammo, blade or shielding, checking your weight capacity along with your speed configuring your map, checking your headparts weither or not you want with alot of armor points or you want a map built into the head piece, core parts speed or armor and with weapon mounting on them, arms with build in guns or holding guns, powerful legs that are slow or speedy and hovercrafts alongside reversed legs and 4 leggers. For more addition speedy boosters, high powered generators, cooling efficient radiators, FCS to give mroe range and lock on capacity and more powerful inside weapons to distract enimey missiles or to make floating mines, extensions to add more boosting power or to give backup energy plus extentions to even disrupt enimey lock ons, back weapons to throw missiles, back grenade launchers powerful energy weapons, orbital weapons, guns blasting power energy weapons or powerful bazookas, or blades to slash at your opponents when the oppertunity seizes you, or you can have shields for added protection so you take less damage from the enimey fire, this game is a maze and it is a wonderful game.

THE GOOD:
With the all new part designes, levels, consorts, mazes on the levels, fun surviving and finding ways to evade missiles and such, hidden parts, almost as fun as Armored Core 1, 2 and Another Age. Plus with the addition of the lighting effects makes it almost a must, effects on the gun effects also with the boosters if you look closley you can see a swiggle in the boosters lower part showing gas fumes, neato for the effects management, getting on the internet is also some fun but Im still trying to see about that. Arena has some challenges adapting to various arenas and finding ways to defeat multiple opponents. It is a good game and well worth the money payed for it.

THE BAD:
Hardly anything wrong with it. It does have some flaws. One is you cant load a Armored Core 2 data onto Armored Core 3.

SUMMARY:
Parts can be used as a jiggsaw puzzle to try and make the perfect Ac for you, naming your AC, painting it, giving it a emblem, completing missions and getting parts for doing a good performance on them is almost a must have game. Perfect for the people who love doing the stratagy games. A fun game and well worth the time and money.

Graphics: 10 out of 15
Diffuculty: 15 out of 15
Music: 8 out of 15
Total Rating: 33
Grade: Great
