THE GOOD:
-Realism is spot on
-Sound is amazing
-The Graphics are exceptional for a PS2 game
-It's really pushed the PS2 to it's limits
-Extraordinary action
-A.I is pretty good, enemy and friendly units take cover etc.
-There's a big difference between difficulty levels

THE BAD:
-Game is pretty short
-Sometimes A.I units get stuck
-No in game map
-You can't skip the cutscenes
-No multiplayer or online gaming

SUMMARY:
For Criterions first ever game in the FPS business this game is top quality and a must buy for anyone with a PS2. The first level is a great teaser for what's to come in the rest of the game and the levels build in quality throughout the story mode. Criterion really have pushed the Playsation 2 to it's limits and the sound and graphics quality is immense. Every aspect of the game is near perfect and there's only a few minor things which make it miss out on a full 5/5. One thing that Criterion have mastered is the sound of the game and the noise that comes from the amazing guns. For the first time pistols are exceptionally powerful in combat and this helps increase the enjoyment factor. The graphics are extraordinarily good and the detail of trees and other background is exceptional.

One thing that sets the game back though is the fact there's no multi-player or online capabilities. IF these two had been put in then I think this game would've got a 5 but because they've been left out it reduces the mark slightly. Also a few minor details such as there being no in-game map which would help immensely in some of the huge battlefields and at the start you can't skip any cut-scenes.

All in all though this game is a brilliant start point for Criterion in making FPS games and I'm sure that if they release a sequel it'll be a fantastic game. This really is a must buy.
