What They Say:

"...when it comes down to it, the best games -- games like Bully -- don't concern themselves with technical perfection. They just push headlong into new places and new ideas, leaving behind the ranks of unimaginative, spit-polished safe bets. Bully takes chances, and the gamble pays off big."
"Bullworth is a tough school, but Jimmy is a tough kid. Bully is the story of a troubled young person that tries to survive life in some rough conditions. His parents dumped him off at a school foreign to him, with malevolent students and faculty. As Jimmy struggles to become accepted, he keeps fighting on. This isn't the violent school shooting simulator that we were all expecting. I actually wonder if Take-Two intentionally released a milder game with an edgy topic to see the media's reaction to their punt fake. Bully is likely Rockstar's final major release on PlayStation 2, and as such, a worthy conclusion to the generation."

"Bully's unique setting and quality gameplay make for an exciting and memorable action adventure game."
"One area we'd really like to see Bully improve upon, however, is the with the response time of the camera and character movement. When playing through our demo session, Jimmy felt somewhat delayed in all his actions while the camera was too quick and twitchy at the same time. When put together, it did create obvious issues with getting around Bullworth. With any luck this will be fixed."
"...Bully is going to surprise people with what it is -- ie: much better and funnier than most were giving it credit for, while coming across as much tamer than those who feared it expected it to be. Regardless, Bully is a great, well-crafted action game that has one of the best senses of humor around and dozens and dozens of hours of fun."
