THE GOOD: -Characters -Create-A-Character -Commentary -ArenasTHE BAD: -Short -Repetitive -Not Enough Episodes
SUMMARY: The concept isn't necessarily bad, when I first heard a Celebrity Deathmatch game was coming out, I was actually looking forward to it. But then when I purchased the game, I was quite disappointed. Further on in this review I'll tell you why I didn't like the game, but first I'll mention the actual good points there are about Celebrity Deathmatch. Because it isn't too bad, there are some great qualities about this. It just lacks a lot in some places, and the good points just don't measure up against the bad. So here I go, the good points..
The characters are excellent. They've took fighters from the television show and put them into the game. Capturing them very well, I think. There are quite a few singers from here, like N*Sync, Busta Rhymes and Marilyn Manson. Among others of course. Like Anna Nicole Smith and Mr. T (my personal favourite in the game). With great characters come great moves, and you can pull out a selection of weapons like dogs and carrots. And if you don't like the characters included in the game, you'll enjoy the Create-A-Character mode that's implemented here. This allows you to make your own person to play into the game, after saving it to your memory card.
The commentators are quite good, Nick Diamond and Johnny Gomez have come to the game, after being in the show all the time. And they're just as good. But once you've heard everything once, you may get a little annoyed and bored with them. And the arenas are excellent, there are many to choose from. A spaceship, the Deathmatch Ring etc. I'm trying to think of more good points, but sadly I can't.
This game is the shortest I've ever played. Trust me, you can easily complete this in less than an hour, and that's because of the extremely short episodes you have. Each time you complete one, a new character or arena is unlocked. There aren't many to unlock though, and you'll find yourself finished within an hour. It's repetitive as well. I'll admit it's hard to not be repetitive in a fighting game. But this is the most repetitive fighting game I've played. This is the moves and commentary to be honest, and the finishing moves are boring after you see them once or twice.
Hope I helped..
