Best in series | 4.8 0 comments |

THE GOOD: New Teleportation Pinball Mode: Knock your opponent sky high and teleport behind them instantly and knock them even higher! This really gives you the fast-paced fighting dbz is so well known for.
Bukujutsu Flight Mode: This lets you have virtually free flight around the arena. Fly in any direction.
Multiple Ki Blasts: In previous games, you could only throw one ki blast at a time. Now you can do up to 7!!
More interactive cut-scenes: When you perform the ultimate attack of a character, see a well done cut-scene of them doing the attack. Also, if you win the attack, you get to see the effect- from space!!!
Story Mode: They've vastly improved story mode from the boardgame type one from budokai 2. Now, you can fly all around the world!! Fighting numerous villains.
Characters: Now, there are 44 characters, including Broly (Yes Broly!!!), uub, Omega Shenron, SSJ4 Gogeta, Gogeta, SSJ4 Goku, SSJ4 Vegeta and many more.
Dragon Arena: Lets you fight characters up to lvl 99 using your upgraded characters from Dragon Universe. Also, fight characters made from players all over the world by entering their unique codes.THE BAD: Story mode can get a bit repetetive when you realise flying around the world at top speed isn't all that.
Hyper Mode: In order to do an ultimate, you must enter Hyper Mode, this rapidly drains your ki leaving you vulnerable if you don't attack. It is too easily dodged and not easy to do. Dragon Rush: Boring attack that all characters have where you and your opponent press buttons during each turn and if they're the same, the defender wins. SUMMARY: In my opinion, it's the best in the series. It far out-does any other game, even tenkaichi. It combines everything good from all other games into one and really lets you experience dbz more than anything else. The vast number of characters allow you an incredible selection of warriors to choose from. And the ability to level up your custom fighters and post their codes on the internet is a really cool addition. You can also retrieve codes from other players to test your skills.
VERDICT: GET IT- BEST GAME EVER!!! |

THE GOOD: - Improved Graphics - New Characters - Beam Struggles - Some more new ultimates - Free FlightTHE BAD: - Not enough moves for each character - Gets boring after a while SUMMARY: - Now about the graphics, once you start to play this game the graphics are amazing. After a while you'll get used to it and it's not really a big deal, as with other games. But, the only visual I always be amazed by is the characters Ki Aura, it looks great.
- Another great thing about this game is the new characters you get to choose from. You even get to be Broly, who doesn't want to play as him? They even have some GT characters, well really it's a little GT characters to choose from. They have Omega Shenron, Gogeta at SSJ4, SSJ4 Goku, and SSJ4 Vegeta. I think that's all of them. It's great how you get to do different things than in the last Budokai games, that add to the gameplay. One is like the teleporting and dodgeing features, also the really cool beam struggles, and Dragonrush. The only thing bad about those features is that when you play against the computer they always find a way to teleport even with low Ki, they always use Draognrush, which makes it seem annoying, and the only time Beam Struggles happen is when your really close to the CPU and use a death move, then it just explodes and you both go flying backwards. Like I mentioned before another great thing about this game is the new ultimate moves for the new and old characters. This time Goku has Super DragonFist, and Brloy gets a cool ultimate called Gigantic Meteor one of the best ultimates of alltime.
- As soon aa I started unlcking the characters and their moves I noticed that each character gets a real low amount of moves. Everyone has around 3 and 4 moves, which is not enough in my opinion. Another bad thing about this game is that it just gets plain boring after you unlock around 60 something percent of everything, because you have to keep going to tournament mode and win money which you don't win everytime, and then u go to the skill shop and there isn't anything new in there because you have to get some kinda card, and then you don't unlock everything because you have to go to Dragon Arena and fight someone untill someone else breaks in and you hardly know when they are going to do that, bottom line it just gets boring.
- Well, if you are a DBZ fan you want this game. If you are not you should give it a try anyway. |

THE GOOD: - Improvement over the last game - Graphics are better - Lots of unlock-ables - Fun attacks - Fun opponents to beat the crap out ofTHE BAD: - Characters got boring - Too much like the past ones - Attacks died out after a while (boring) - AI was too cheap SUMMARY: Now theres a Budokai 3, a third installment in the DBZ series. It was released a while ago, and frankly, I think its somewhat of an improvement over the last one.
First of all, teh graphics. The graphics were nice just like the last one, only this one looked better because I think it had a new graphics engine or something like that. The gameplay is also nice, since it flows nicely alongside the graphics. You still have all those badass moves that you were able to do in the past games, you still have all the special character moves, and you still have all the fun to use characters that you've grown used to by now. There are also a lot of things you can unlock, and hey, who doesnt like unlockables? That just makes the game more enjoyable and fun because you can always have more things to do, which also makes the game seem longer than it is.
Although it seems like its longer, the game itself needs to be longer. Once again, when you finally do get into the game with all the fighting and everything, once you master a couple characters and you really get the true feel for the game, it ends. That really was a huge turn off of the game that I experienced while playing it because it just made me feel like not playing it anymore. Apart from that though, the AI when facing opponents, really are cheap bastards. THey really use a lot of cheap attacks that piss you off because no matter how good you are, they just get on your nerves a lot.
Besides all that, its still a solid game, and its recommended to have in your collection. |

Dragonball Z Budokai 3 Analysis | 5.0 0 comments |
by Shadow Gokan from , , | Jun 11, 2005 |
THE GOOD: This is the first Dragonball game I've ever played and the game play is very good. The way the developers have managed all the energy attacks and special attacks is very good. I still am missing two characters and half of the capsules. This game is very enjoyable.THE BAD: The storylines are incredibly short when I first played the game. After 3 fights you were completing the Saiyan Saga already. The length of characters storylines are a bit disappointing. Characters are harder to get than they actually seem. Also the game isn't a walkthrough game. It's only flying and fighting. But I am looking forward to Dragonball Sagas to come out in the UK. SUMMARY: All in all the game was very good. Excellent graphics both characters and effects. A little bit of hilariousness with Great Saiyaman and Hercule and a lot of things to get, but the stories are too short and you don't fight any of the little people and fights can be extremely easy. But for the first Dragonball game I've ever got, I have to give it full marks. |

THE GOOD: The graphics are good, the game play is smooth a long game a perfect game if you a like fighting!THE BAD: the only thing which is bad is the KI gauges, they take too long to power up. the rest of the game is perfect SUMMARY: Everything there is in the DBZ, it is there in this Budokai 3! the graphics look real, the game play is smooth, the story lines are long and there are tons and tons of extras for example: the dragon arena, characters from DBGT, the wish you get when you collect all the 7 Dragonballs, the skill shop and all the other things there is in this magnificent game! This game is the perfect fighting game for you! the most incredible thing is that when 2 players do the same kind of attack, you have to press the buttons quickly which gives you excitement! In the whole game there is not a single place where you feel disappointed! |

THE GOOD: Really well done graphics and they actually talk in the game not like the other DBZ games. And instead of that crappy board game there's DU Dragon Universe where you can fly around unlock stuff and fight. You also find question marks like this ??? when you go through the game flying. It is either Zen which is money, a capsule which can unlock a item or a character. You also might find a Dragon ball. If you get all 8 of them you get a selection of wishes after you beat DU with a character.THE BAD: There's nothing really that bad unless you really hate DBZ and bought for no reason at all. Even though you hate it it's still might be fun for people who don't have much interest of DBZ. SUMMARY: This is a must buy for DBZ fans! Action, detailed graphics , and I think 40 playable players. You should buy is now or you might change your mind if you really want it badly. Overall 4.7/5. The only thing that was bad for me was when in DU You need to search everwhere for stuff and getting 100%. it's really hard I'm only at 29% now. Also don't get Dragon ball Z sagas I heard it sucked ass. |

Great Game, not exactly da bomb, but great | 4.5 0 comments |
by m03rw from Miller, SD, United States | Apr 19, 2005 |
THE GOOD: Characters, graphics, moves, attacks, ultimate attacks, great enemies, battlezones, soundtrack, voices, and especially the ss4 gogeta with 100X BigBang Kamehameha!!!!!!!!!THE BAD: Low experience boostsafter defeating an opponent, but great with WE GOTTA POWER!!!!!! SUMMARY: Budokai 3 is one of the coolest games i have played. i cannot say it is funner than halo2, but i can say that it is an 'action packed game'. It is one of the games that would deserve a 4 out of 5. it is one of the games that would excite dragonball z fans, like myself. I also like the gogeta soul punisher, spirit bomb, big bang attack, special beam cannon, but i would really like it if they could have made a thing in which you could control the size and power of the energy attacks like the ones i just mentioned. |

THE GOOD: Sweet game pwns all others with good graphics, ALOT of characters including my favorite Bardock. Also contains some charactes from the popular show (well only in Japan it is popular) called Dragonball GT THE BAD: ECHO ECHO not much for me to say here I own both versions of it,but SSJ4 Gogeta is a noobish player don't use him unless you are a NOOB Next RANDOME LETTERS! jkghjigfivghkijtlofvigofugvighbjiogfuhotgf ucvoghitgfiyhitiobgfiyhotigfoyhutigofyihotg ifhokltjgfiiyhiktygoyhogfuyihyjgohlitkigful ihkgoljhyligkuojyuhgikiyhoylhjionlghkjnkyhg bkhbnlghbkhl.kyghlokylhgyk;hp;fdkg['dflg'fh j;hgkjolnh;kbjnl;ghkbh;lgfhkn;ghhl;'kgf;klh 'lgl;k'hlldfjfl;sdfjgfdfifhyasiochsufnhjgfj kdehfuisdhfjhaesjhdfcvsdjkgfcklsdf vhsdjbfhi hjxcfhzsdkfnhuisdhfjkxcbhyu f euihjeshfdfufhkpxfjzsdnfyuhcdgjgasdhuide SUMMARY: Tis a good game overall I give it a 10/3 for good graphics and impressing me to no limit well one thing did happen when I tried to use a game shark with it it froze and I waited for 4 hours. It could use some more charaters like
1.Pan 2.Older Goten 3.the other Drgons 4.Shenron(not just a costume)

The Good, The Bad, and the total percent of ass kicking | 5.0 0 comments |
by 7 Dragon from , , | Mar 11, 2005 |
THE GOOD: This game is positivly the best DBZ game out there. Lots of characters to unlock, great story mode, excelent graphics, incredible music, voliceovers are great, what more do you want? this game bring the full amount of DBZ to the table.THE BAD: Repetative gamplay and takes a while to unlock things. SUMMARY: This game is incredibly wicked. It brings a varity of DBZ uses to the table this time around. 1000 times beter than both the first and second one, unlockables and extra features are an excelent edtion to Budokai 3. Anyone who is a fan of DBZ should pick this one up. It's a great fighting game expirecne that...well....mainly kids can enjoy, but still a great game overall. Over 40 characters to unlock and each come with their own speical attack. Super Sayian 4 was an excelent idea. It attracts more players to play. The speed dash attack was an excelent idea for the fights. I love teleporting behind my enimes where their in the air and kicking them to different parts of the field!
If you're a fan of fighting games, get this game....now! |

Kicks Budokai 1 and 2's ass! | 4.0 0 comments |
by Dragonfist from Miami, FL, | Mar 3, 2005 |
THE GOOD: 1. Totally revolutionized fighting engine. 2. More characters than ever before. 3. You can input passwords in Dragon Arena and fight tons of different people's fighters. 4. Lots of new moves and capsules, teleportation, and free flight.THE BAD: The only thing that's disapointing is that they didn't add cutscenes to Dragon Universe and that they shouldn't have removed the fantasy fusions. (Tiencha,Gokule) SUMMARY: This the Holy Grail for anyone who calls himself a Dragon Ball Z fan. If you don't have it, then grab your wallet, rush to the store and get yourself a copy of the best DBZ game ever made. Teleportaion, Dragon rush, ultimates, new characters, the list just keeps on growing. So to top it all off, Dragonball Z Budokai 3= True perfection. Anyone who doesn't like it hasn't played it or is not a DBZ fan. |
