I was changing the channels of my TV when i came across Formula One action. It looked good, but there was something strange. It took me time to realize it; it was a game: F1 2002. I couldn't believe such good graphics could be produced in a Formula One game...

I soon bought it and became addicted to the game. The stunning graphics, the astounding gameplay and the awesome sound track was just too good to be true. It seemed that EA had answered all previous complaints.

GRAPHICS : 10/10

The graphics of F1 2002 are simply superb. You see the reflection of the sky on the helmet of Montoya when you are trying to do your best. You really do get the thrill of speed (except for one Camera View

but the others are excellent). The textured sky, clouds and grass etc. just
add to the beauty of the game. The graphical detail is very high along with very good pit stops and race starts

. There are spectacular crash scenes at 200 Mph. All in all, the graphics are cool.

Game Play : 10/10

The gameplay is addictive. The handling is simple yet the game proves to be challenging. It's definitely not as annoying as the 98 Version. The qualifying is superb with mostly good times being set at the near end. The presentation is TV like. The races themselves are very
good. There are a lot of choices; ranging from single championships, arcade races to multi player team relays and many team challenges. The difficulty level can, of course, be changed which makes the game more hard. Definitely wonderful gameplay.

Sound : 9.5/10

The sound of the game is sweet. You can choose from background music to serious pit crew talks. You are also given a full track preview. The music is excellent and the quality of sound effects can be judged from the fact that you can actually HEAR the other cars closing in on you!
The crashes come down on you like thunder. It may not be perfect but it is definitely very very good.

Re playability : excellent.

There are many tracks including few to be unlocked. There is a lot variety as I said, so mastering this game and then applying the mastery in serious challenges and multi player battles makes the game almost never ending. Just pick up the console and log onto some unlimited hours
of guaranteed fun...

Buy or Rent :

If you are a Formula one fan, then definitely buy. If you don't know much about the sport still try it as a racing game. There is a lot of variety so buy it.

The game is magnificent. I wish all those who are going to buy it good luck with it; hopefully they'll like the game just like I did.
