THE GOOD:
-A great story, with numerous twists and turns to keep the player guessing

- A brilliant range of ghost enemies, ranging from easy to very hard and simple to just plain terrifying!

-A great atmosphere created and maintained throughout

-A choice of difficulty levels allowing the player to play the game to their own liking an ability

-A great range of option extras, rewards and unlockables.

THE BAD:
- The camera angle can become frustrating at times

- The limited number of settings the game takes place in can become a little repetitive

-Some puzzles are just a little too frustrating to be enjoyable

SUMMARY:
Fatal Frame 2 is the story of Two sisters, Mio and Mayu, who become trapped in a mysterious village with a disturbing history. In order to survive they must solve the mysteries of a sacred ritual and battle the tormented spirits that haunt the village. But can they survive in a place were nothing is as it seems?

Summary:

Overall, the game is great, and highly engrossing. Although it is relatively short, there are very few moments were the player can pause for breath. There is a surprise around every corner which makes the game a non-stop thriller.

The graphics are excellent and along with the music they create the perfect atmosphere for the game. Its frightening and unfamiliar all the way through, which makes for an awesome playing experience. Graphically, it is a great improvement on Fatal frame 1 and overall a more enjoyable game.

The enemies are also fantastic. Each one is unique and equally terrifying. Their appearances are highly detailed and close up a lot of them are incredibly scary, (which is after all the point of the game!)

The twists and turns in the plot (including the ending) are great, and always leave the player wondering and wanting more. It is certainly a game that requires full attention, not just something you sit back and play.

On the bad side, the game does have a few flaws.

With the whole story taking place in one village and the houses contained it, it can occasionally become repetitive running back and forth between the same houses and rooms. This can be particularly worsened by the camera angle, which can make it difficult on occasion to see were you are going to were you have just been. Some of the puzzles, and routes around houses etc are a little frustrating and can become annoying, but once you figure out what to do ,it becomes much more enjoyable.

Overall this is a great game. Not for the easily frustrated (or easily scared!), but it offers a great challenge with a beautifully constructed atmosphere and a highly unique style of game play and wonderfully detailed story line.
