THE GOOD:
When playing a game, one always sees the graphics first and good to say that this game showcases the best graphics in a game so far. The characters are very well defined and the movements are really refined and very realistic. The characters were really great in the game and Square added several new characters who were just as kick-ass as well. The Background music was really good and fit the scenes perfectly and it really engages you to play more and watch more. However, the strong point of this game is the storyline where Square added new information without having to contradict anything said in the original installment and the locations were captured perfectly into 3D from the original VII in the PSX console.

THE BAD:
The gameplay was the biggest and perhaps only let-down for this game. It featured somewhat like a Resident Evil type of guns and strafing. Still, almost all FPS are like that. But this game could have been better if you could pull off some serious moves like in DMC.

SUMMARY:
Overall, this game would have been better a movie since the gameplay was really weak compared to the story. Why the hell can Vincent perform acrobatic moves in the FMV but not in the game itself?

Still, this game should score high because of 4 other determining factors: Storyline, Characters, Musical Score and Graphics. Also, considering that this is an FF game, the title itself gives it a high mark.

Gameplay: 3
Graphics: 5
Storyline: 5
Characters: 5
Musical Score: 5

Average Score: 4.6
