Final Fantasy X-2

THE GOOD:
Long, Hard, Difficult to beat

THE BAD:
There's Bad?. Maybe a disappointing ending, and the RMVs are a bit short and hard to come by

SUMMARY:
A very hard an difficult gamne to beat all the way if you try to beat it 100%(or more). It can also be a game that doesn't take too long to beat if you want to beat it quick(30+ hours) and see the main RMVs. But to beat it 100%(or more) it will take much more time, I currently have been playing my game for over 180 HOURS and still only have 96% of the game. Other good things about the game include it high graphics. In the game it is almost like watching a movie. Lots of accesories to get and uses a garment grid system for changing occupations(the costume you pick is the one they'll fight; Ex: Yuna (main character) starts of as a gunner, she uses a gun to fight of fiends along with Rikku and Paine. This is a very hard game to review.

Like the title says, you simply either love it or hate it. I'm not going to go over the story line in great depth, as you can find that anywhere on the web. But, before I go any further, let's look at some of what's new in FFX-2:

+ Less linear map.
+ [Only] three playable characters.
+ "Chapter" system.
+ Different endings/%completion.
+ Dresspheres/Grids.
+ New battle system.
+ Lot's of new mini-games.
+ New characters. Old characters.
+ FMV's feature singing (Ok, only in two scenes, but work with me, people).
+ New soundtrack.
+ Two sides you can join (New Yevon and the Youth League); the side you join greatly changes the future events of the game, and your ability to advance in certain areas.
+ First FF game in a long time to not feature atleast one type of summons creature that you can use to your advantage.

Moving on. The problem with all these features is...

THE GOOD:
Strange, yet interesting battle system. Graphics are good, yet, all other games are looking about as good at this time (N4SU)

THE BAD:
Everything else.

SUMMARY:
     Let me first start off with saying I attempted to start this game with an open mind. I really did. I'd heard the rumors; the hints at an akward storyline, but I tried it anyway. As soon as I watched the opening cinema my respect for the game went skyrocketing down. Yuna? A pop singer? WHY?! Wasn't she just a shy, inept summoner (or as the instruction manual described her, a "honest, determined" person)?? Then I thought, "Ok, it has to just get better now." I was way too wrong.
     It seems that FFX-2 is scattered with "missions", kind of like a Ghost Recon or Metal Gear type of game. Oh yes, and by the way, I guess Yuna forgot the whole summoner thing and grabbed a few pistols, because she's got guns now. Lovely. Missions are good in...

THE GOOD:
- Graphics

- Dress Spheres

THE BAD:
- No Aeons
- Poorly over-vised characters
- Too cheesy in some parts

SUMMARY:
The gameplay's a little bit different. No more Aeons, no more Overdrives, and no Overkills. However, the Aeon command has been replaced with the "Change Dress" command, where the character changes their Dress Sphere into a different one, taking on a job of a different position. A good example may be from White Mage to Dark Knight, and so on (by the way, these "Dress Spheres" determine the character's HP, Strenght, and etc.). Yuna has also been given the ability to do some extra things on the field (something like... jumping?).

The music has been replaced completely. If you're expecting the old tunes from Final Fantasy X, forget it. The composer is not Nobuo Uematsu, but two new directors. The music genre seems to be quite wide however. Songs like "Shuin's Theme" or "Memory of...

THE GOOD:
FFX-2 delivers in almost every aspect promised.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
As soon as I picked up this game I knew I had to do one thing before I committed myself to it.

I called my girlfriend. (My real life girlfriend)"Hi, umm, I just picked up the new Final Fantasy, umm ..." She's very understanding, very understanding. "So I guess i won't see you for a couple of days, then?" "Right." With that out of the way I proceeded to get into FFX-2. It's a phenomenal game. The graphics are beyond measure even when compared to FFX and the plot, while it didn't turn out how I imagined it would, remained razor sharp throughout the whole game.

The first thing I have to talk about is the battle system. It blows my mind. FFX's departure from the vetran ATB battle system was a nice change for the strategy-minded gamer. In X-2 ATB is back, and like the official playstation magazine tells us, it's...

THE GOOD:
THe grapichs are so great that you really believe that you are right in the game. The battle system is off the hook. IF you never played the Final Fantasy's before you need to try this. It has the best of the best the sound was spectalcular. The theme song was great. And Yuna will make your jaw drop right to the floor with the high cut shorts and cold steel gun.

THE BAD:
The bad is that how can you have a Final Fantasy this great with no Chocobo race. The game could have included some of the old charaters in some fighting scences. Cause when you see the old players again you are in a urge to use them. The game could have took more time on the mini-games but they werent that bad.

SUMMARY:
You have to try this game if you are a rpg gamer it is the best......so far.I really think that this one will not collect dust on your shelf for a long time. This game is the best. I dont know if they'll be able to keep up with the series. Can't wait...

THE GOOD:
everything. the combat style and story are great.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
well this game is really different. but being able to change you fighting class i think is the best up grade to a final fantasy game. the story starts out kinda of slow and has no real point at first but builds up greatly throughout the rest of the game. the character detials seem better and well as the cinemas which are awesome. even though this game stars only girls and no additional characters is and bit weird but new and exciting. some people were turned off by that fact which would probably not make them die hard final fantasy games. if you are in to the final fantasy thing well then i highly recommend this game. i think that this game is still good even with the way the game is put. no glitchs by my count even though some of the mini games caused me to speculate this even though it was probably out of anger from losing ^_^.

THE GOOD:
Neat Job Class system, great designs on outfits and transformations, interesting mods to battle system

THE BAD:
Terrible, terrible, plot which is completely lacking. Very immature based story. Generally annoying concept.

SUMMARY:
I'll say this about FFX-2, it succeeded in altering my favorite RPG from FFX to well... Xenosaga or KOTOR. FFX-2 lacks in so many ways it was disappointing from beginning to end. It starts with Yuna singing and dancing in a pop concert with holographic faggies as dancers and ends with such cliche and cheese I cannot begin to describe it. Below I will list my top 10 reasons on why Final Fantasy X-2 failed in my books.
10. Unoriginal - I'm starting to get sick of the cactuars, moogles, chocobos, and even Cid characters to a degree. Final Fantasy games are incorporating way too many trademarks from past titles and it's becoming repetitive. They need to either drop a few labels or relegate...

THE GOOD:
Excelent graphics , not bad FmV, non-linear story

THE BAD:
It not an easy thing to get 100%...

SUMMARY:
A good sequel to 2 year old game! Not excelent but good ! Very easy gameplay,many mini games full of action not bad sound, good songs! BUT THIS 100% PERCENTAGE! This game made me spend two weeks to went throught it 3 times and to get 100% percent complete, and when i saw a little scene at Zanarkand ruins i was quite a bit disappointed... And i think that is not essential to have it, because it lasts for only a minute and a half. I must say a few words about songs (they are awesome)especially that 1000 words that lasts while FmV running. FmV not the best but good because even at PSX at FF IX were god nes _$eph!roT_

THE GOOD:
Well the battle system is the greatest. I love how the dresspheres work and the different attributes go together with the dresspheres. It is kool

THE BAD:
UMMM... the story line is not so great ya know. It could've been longer and better. They sould've had more graphics than that it is the same as the last one. But altogether it is a pretty good game. Oh yeah and it only has 3 characters big bummer!!

SUMMARY:
This game overall is a pretty good game. I mean the graphics are pretty well done ( even thougth it is based of the last one) and I ABSOLUTLEY love the game play where it is not really a turned based battle game more free style gamed. I just can't stop playing it though it is very addicting. So that is my story for my Final Fantasy X-2 game. Good BYE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. MAKE SURE YOU go get this game cuz it is worth it don't over look it cuz it only has three gurls it is a really good game.
