THE GOOD:

Cool guns

THE BAD:
Long load times
Stupid AI
Training mode sucks

SUMMARY:
This game is ok, more of a rental than anything else. I also have yet to play it online. But, i got it for Christmas and felt like i had an obligation to play it,. and now i wanna return it. The first mission alone is hard enough, you can kill your own team mates, but don't let the military force aiding you die, not to mention a tank firing upon you. But, missions require a lot more than keeping yourself alive to accomplish them. Usually you'll have to not only stay alive, but incapacitate a certain target, or destroy something, yada yada. But while playing today, i realized just how horrible the AI was. Well, i was shooting upon a base on a hill, and some terrorist comes up from behind me, i don't see him, and he's literally 5 feet behind me, and out of my squad, no one fires at him, and not to mention, when the squad does fire, their accuracy is terrible, they have to literally unload hundreds of shells before they even skim their target, this game is easier if you start off by fragging your own squad.

I haven't beaten this game, nor played it online, but I've played enough to already spot how poorly developed this game is. I would hardly give it a mention, but if you're really skeptical about how horrible the AI is, then i recommend a rent before buy, if you even resort to that.

SUMMARY:
The Ghost Recon series has had plenty of games. Despite the title, Ghost Recon 2 is not the second game in the series. We have had things like Jungle Storm and Island Thunder too.

Not much is to the story. Something bad is happening and you have to deploy a military force called the "Ghosts" to action.

This new Ghost Recon installment has taken a new path for the series. The previous Ghost Recon games were largely tactical and one wrong step and it would have turned to tears. Now it's a lot more action based and there are now more gunfights to go around.

It can still go pear-shaped though if you not careful. You can dies very quickly and it you still need the thinking man's brain. Also you now can only control one soldier. In the previous games you swap between different soldiers and plan more. Now when you are dead, you are dead. Also you can't save during mission making it tedious and very annoying when you die.

The squad's AI is poor. They are very inaccurate and they shoot blindly at the enemy. The enemy Ai is fine. They work in groups to kill you and shoot a lot more straighter than your squad.

The weapons are good. There aren't that many but they feel good, sound and overall do the job. You also do Lone Wolf mission were you get to handle the Next-Generation weaponary. It's cool.

The graphics are good and a huge improvement over the previous games. With the third-person view, everything looks good and less blocky. You also get a weird effect when you fire your bullets. When you shoot your gun the colour desends to black and white. They are trying to mimic Saving Private Ryan but it can look at bit rubbish.

The single player missions are tough and keep you going at it. The online is meant to be a disappointment.

Ghost Recon 2 is competent squad based shooter but it far from being perfect.
