THE GOOD:
- Intense and diverse hand-to-hand combat.
- Solid guns and mythical weapons.
- Great locations and sprawling levels.
- Nice pace.
- Challenging, but not impossible, puzzles.
- Reasonable voice overs without paying out for major stars.
- Wonderful Indy music...*
- You can lose your hat and find it later.
- You can reel in enemies with your whip.
- Better than most "Tomb Raider" games.

THE BAD:
- Slightly jerky during large sections of combat.
- *...that skips a fair amount.
- Graphically average.

SUMMARY:
Say the name "LucasArts" and everyone responds by saying "Star Wars". It seems that they have made a name for themselves by churning out fairly half-decent science fiction games based in a galaxy far, far away. But not everyone might know that Indiana Jones, our favourite archaeologist/action hero with a habit of not shaving very often, was created by George Lucas and therefore LucasArts have...

THE GOOD:
Level Design, Perfect Indy Flair, Great different objectives, Typical Indy Style Music and Soundeffects.

THE BAD:
Graphics are very blurry and far off what the PS2 what be able to display (just have a look at Prince Of Persia!). No option to switch to 16:9, on Pal no 60Hertz option! Far off the texture quality of Indy on PC! Sloppy conversion onto the PS2!

SUMMARY:
Gladly got that game for cheap since I realy don´t like the graphics on the PS2 (SHAME!!! could have been alot better). Gameconcept is highly innovative and gets you hooked! Beside that I think it´s good enough for me to get it once it will be on budget for the PC since the PC graphics are highdetailed and crisp. Finally, if you´ve got a choice and like Indy, get that game for the Computer!!!!

THE GOOD:
The voiceover is excellent. Sounds identical to Harrison Ford! Nice rich, textured environments.

THE BAD:
Although the environments are nice looking, the blurry graphics of this game hinder them substandard. Oddly they appear clearer while "indy" is in motion then stationary. Game play is a little tedious and makes poor use of the sprawling stages.

SUMMARY:
I had played "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" on N64 to the very last boss. Having defeated him I could not figure out how to complete the stage. This was because my copy had a glitch that would not let me back down to the bottom floor. Having played this latest version, I can definitely say this one is worse. There use to be a time when Lucas Arts was a highly regarded name in software. That time has passed. This is second game in a month from Lucas Arts that I was sorely dissappointed in, the other being "Secret Weapons Over Normandy". The latest Tomb Raider is superior...

THE GOOD:
you play as indiana jones. and have everything he would have.

THE BAD:
a few bits of dodgy graphics, and i had a section where it was just playing a high pitched humming noise

SUMMARY:
its my favorite game of da year. wid everythind in it. you can do so much more wid this game, than any of the tomb raiders combined and even better you play as indy himself with all his trade mark things he does, like the old fashoned whip and revolver and just for show you can pick your hat up afterwards hat. even better you go into a chinese netherworld where theres these ghost things that are like the ones from raiders of the lost ark. theres some quit eerie bosses in it too, like a giant kraken. you even have a very similar thing to the boulder out of the first film.i would rate this game to anyone

THE GOOD:
- Indy sounds like Harrison Ford!!! (but it's not him)
- Best fighting ever in a Indy game.
- Great theatrical score, sounds like your in a movie.
- Control is good.
- Around 65 levels.

THE BAD:
- Not much of a story.
- Sometimes the music overplays when the characters are speaking, might want to turn the caption feature on.
- You can't save when you want to, the game automatically saves after you finish a level, although the levels aren't too terribly long so it is not a big deal.

SUMMARY:
I'm an Indiana fan all the way...well who isn't...anyways I enjoyed The Infernal Machine even though it wasn't that great of a game. This game is 100 times better than the previous Jones installment, and in my opinon the best Indiana Jones Console game. Fate of Atlantis and The Last Crusade (PC) versions are still my favorite because they had such a great storyline, but Emperor's Tomb would fall in 3rd behind...

THE GOOD:
Stays true to the 'universe' of Indiana Jones -- the things Indy says & can do are very much consistent with the movies.

THE BAD:
Not *THE* best graphics out there, but very nicely done nonetheless

SUMMARY:
If you like Indiana Jones & video games, you shouldn't be disappointed with this harmonious merge. The character looks, sounds, & acts like Indy. The fighting style is great - punching, using the whip, etc. The music follows whatever is happening (even quick plot changes). A nice blend of action & puzzle-solving. Rich environments where you can use just about anything as a weapon - and you get many different kinds of enemies to fight. This is the most immersive game that has come out in a long time -- time flies by when you are playing it. I give it every thumb up & would say that if you like adventure games this is a MUST have! I'm officially addicted.

The story flows very well through the game, with some nice cinematic touches, and the character of Indy is just like the real one from the movies... he's got the moves, the sarcasm is just right, and he packs a damn good punch too.
I couldn't recommend it enough. It's just so nice to be able to play the famed archeologist himself and go through a number of interesting locales just to boot... Instanbul and Hong Kong are stand-outs. And the intercut of the scenes make for some stuff really gives it an old serials feel. Whip it five points for me.
