THE GOOD:
-Amazing graphics
-Excellent sound
-Lots of exploration
-Tons of challenges
-Very addicting

THE BAD:
-Sometimes annoying controls
-Not a lot of extras (but the challenges make up for it)
-Can get frustrating for first-timers
-Stupid health system

SUMMARY:
I've gotta say, I was far from disappointed with this amazing game. There is just so much about this game that I just loved, and you should feel the same.

Graphics: 9.6 -- I've always been amazed at what Naughty Dog is capable of, but who isn't? For starters, the character models are nicely detailed, especially for the release date, even with a few minor problems (like smeared-looking faces). The running animations look weird, but the rest is gold. But that's nothing compared to the environments. I can't believe how much detail was put into everything from the mountainous structures to the tiny blades...

THE GOOD:
Everything other than the length of the game...

THE BAD:
It's shorter than a compressed atom. Well, okay it's not quite that short, but still...

SUMMARY:
The Graphics are of a high quality, and the loading times have thankfully been kept as short as is humanly possible with this game. Think of the Gameplay as being about 30% Crash Bandicoot, 30% Spyro The Dragon, 30% The Legend Of Zelda and 10% Super Mario 64.

The Storyline begins thus. Jak has been advised by his old friend Samos the Sage not to visit the mysterious "Misty Island", about half a mile or so off the coast of Sandover Village, Jak's home-town.

So Jak, our Link-like main Character, and his best mate Daxter head off to Misty Island, completely ignoring the green old geezer. Once there, they witness a strange, slightly old-looking man (with a case of Darth Vader-style Asthma) and his teenaged-looking sister (which...

THE GOOD:
- Large environment
- Loading times are fast
- Beautiful looking game
- Fun for everyone
- Eco system

THE BAD:
- Too traditional "save-the-world" theme
- Camera gets on your nerves

SUMMARY:
There isn't much to say about Jak and Daxter except its just like your average adventure/family RPG type game. There is the hero, Jak, and the sidekick, Daxter. They're on a journey to basically save the world, and they are two unlikely heroes to do it, and blah. Like I said, its basically really traditional and it can be a really bad thing at times because most gamers are looking for something different, when they only get the same thing most of the time, so that is really a bad thing about it.

But don't let that stop you from getting it unless you already to, because its still a fun game. You have lots of environments and levels that you can play through, and the game itself just looks really beautiful in all. I recommend...

THE GOOD:
- characters
- story
- lots of ways to find things
- challenging, but still possible

THE BAD:
- driving a stupid vehicle

SUMMARY:
Jak and Daxter is the kind of game that you find great the first time you play it. You get bored of it for a while, then you go back and look for something to play, and you chooses it. It is fabulous. It does get a bit repetive, and that is why you might want to take a break half way through.

This game was what I was looking for, I got it and liked it. It has a compelling story, believable charcters and challenging ways to find things in each level.

What you are really doing in Jak and Daxter, is looking for these orbs. Each level, you go to, you are looking for them for a seperate reason. Whether it is to repair something or kill a monster, you will need them.

There are some challenging ones to find and some easy ones to find. There are also lots of different ways...

THE GOOD:
Marvelous Action sequences, great graphics, and interesting characters make this game one of the greater adventure games of all time. I enjoyed it very much.

THE BAD:
Daxter is constantly making annoying comments, it drives me insane, none of the button-combination cheats submitted on this website work, and the story is rather dull and pointless. Also, I think that it should take more effort on the enemies' part to kill Jak. Other than that, great game.

SUMMARY:
Not as good as Jak II or III, but a really great game overall. I perticularly enjoy the last level in which you control White Ecko Jak. Very fun. Worth the $50 I payed fo r it when it first came out. There aren't any VALID or REAL cheats for it, so it was somewhat difficult. Overall, It was a very fun game. I recommend it to anyone who doesnt have it.

THE GOOD:
The voices are good, and the graphics are pretty good. It's cool.

THE BAD:
It's too short.

SUMMARY:
All the characters look pretty good, but I don't know what the heck is wrong with Jak's nose. Poor Jak. He looks odd, but the graphics are still very good. But, the game's really easy. I got 90% on my first try in a couple of hours. The voices are very good. Daxter is annoying, though. The Flut-Flut is cool. It has a big tail, and it's so cute. <img src="/smile.gif" border=0 vspace=2> Luckily, when you collect things, they aren't erased every time you die, and you'll probably die a lot, since it takes 50 of these little green things to recover the tiny amount of energy you have. The main enemies, Gol and Maia, are cool. I still need to make this longer, so...Jak and Daxter rocks!

THE GOOD:
The game was extremely fun and it was nice to be able to roam around the world. The cutscenes were well done and very funny, especially with all the comments Daxter says. Hehe, sometimes I just killed Jack so that I could find out what Daxter would say. The battles are fun and the game overall is very exciting to play, but there are quite a few things this game could improve on. This is a great game to buy.

THE BAD:
A few things Naughty Dog could have improved on:

SUMMARY:
This game is very, very, short. Extremely short in fact when you size it up to most other action games. Overall, when enjoying the scenery and walking around (taking extra time on the game instead of plunging through), the game only chalked up to about 8 hours of play. If you just want to complete the game then it'd probably only take about 5 hours. When playing other games like Final Fantasy X or Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, these games gave over 50 hours of...

THE GOOD:
Graphics, music, gameplay and storyline!

THE BAD:
Hmm, the only bad i find is that there is a glitch with one of the precursor basin tasks.

SUMMARY:
I love this game! The graphics are excellent and you always find yourself humming along to the music. All the tasks you have to do, some are quite challenging and really fun. With a fun storyline and hours of challenging gameplay this game is one of the best i've played! I would say that between the ages 8-15 will get extrememly enjoyable gameplay, but everybody else will love it as well. With great characters like the silent but curageous Jak, the funny and cute weasel Daxter, the nice and friendly Keira and all of the Sagesm AND all of the countless other characters you do challenges for, lots of interaction for everybody!!!

THE GOOD:
Daxters coments are very funny.

THE BAD:
Nothing.

SUMMARY:
This is probably one of the best that I have played, though it has a sort of disopointing ending once you clock it. I'm allready saving up cash for 'Jak II renagade'.

THE GOOD:
Great Controls, Good Grapics, Easy

THE BAD:
Easy!, Only 3 Bosses

SUMMARY:
This game has it all! Great grapics, great sound, good voice acting, and good controlles. But this game is too damn easy! But if you are a fan of action and adventure, get of your ass and buy this game!
