Legaia 2: Duel Saga

This game was released in Japan almost a year before
being released here, which explains why the game has
dated graphics. But obviously, graphics isn't
everything. This game can be enjoyable for begginers
or average RPG gamers, but maybe veterans of this genre
should skip it.

-The gameplay, just like the first LOL is actually extremely good, you don't just press a button and let
the characters do the rest, you have plan out very
well how you are gonna hit the enemy with four
selections (UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT), sometimes, you may
actually find an art combo which are very fun to watch.
There are normal arts, super arts, hyper arts,Variable
arts (two players combine their combos for an extremely
devastating attack)And mystic.watching art combos are
very fun, until they end up wasting your time.

-you also have origins, powerful beings that help you
out, like summons in FF.

-The graphics in this game i have to say are not so good, the graphics ingame are a bit better, but still
nothing compared to recent RPGs. The Enviorments are
well detailled,or should i say only the towns and
forests, but definetly not the other locations where
you battle, which look very bland.

-One thing i love about this game is that you may not
have a whole lot of freedom of movement (due to the few locations that are in this game), but you sure have alot of freedom of saying what you want and whats
on your mind. This game gives you a tremendous number
of times where you are given choices on what to say
or what to do, and actually depending on what you say,
Your character's personallity may change a bit, and you'll realize this when you notice that the dialogues
of Lang your main character will change. It's too bad
that this does not affect the story, but it's still very entertaining when you beat the game and decide to start over,but this time you decide to use diferent
responses.

This game can be very very fun, but after you beat the game, there really isn't much to do, except for joining a tournament and......thats about it. The
combat system of this game is great, and so are the
choices you are given in the game, it's just too bad
that the graphics, little replay value, no visuals
of the things you customized on your characters,
same old story of saving the world, no talking audio,
only reading dialogues, and a VERY hard difficulty
had to drag this puppy down, it's still a good average
RPG, but not much innovation.
