SUMMARY:
Lupin the Third: Treasure of the Sorcerer King is all a loyal Lupin fan could ask for. The atmosphere, storyline and character interaction is true to the spirit of the anime series. However, the entertainment value of it may be lost on those not familiar with the television show.
You primarily play Lupin, and engage in various missions where you must utilize his various skills, from pickpocketing to disguising yourself as different types of people, but there are also missions here and there where you get the opportunity to play either Goemon the samurai or Jigen the mobster marksman.
The environment and locales may be a bit limited, but it nevertheless doesn't take away from the thrill of trying to guide Lupin and his partners through various traps, puzzles and delicate situations. The disguise function is a nice feature, and tests the players ability to "play it cool".
Other than the tricky moving controls that sometimes leave you at a disadvantage or at uncomfortable angles, this game has few flaws. It's got action, wit and nostalgia all rolled up into one. This game is a must in any anime fan's game library.
