Colin McRae Rally 3

THE GOOD:
Rain effects inside the car...and thats it

THE BAD:
Everything else- incredibly poor sound, over-sensitive controls, crap user interfaces and on and on

SUMMARY:
I'm not one to mince words. This game is muck. Not your normal muck either, but your bargain basement pig muck.

I recently rented this game, and after playing it for 10 minutes turned it off for the sake of decency. It was awful. Some of my friends had to leave the room in despair. The stages look like my baby sister has rendered them with a cheap packet of crayons. The sound must have been extracted from a rabbit under duress. All interfaces in the game are lazy, no proper intros, and crap options.

I immediately returned the game from whence it came(the bowls of Hell I'd imagine) and rented WRC 2 Extreme. What a difference. I purchased it the next day.
If you want my advice, buy WRC 2 like I did. Colin McRae 3 is waste of a good blank cd and your...

THE GOOD:
Graphics,sound,speed,damage but is expected is PS2!

THE BAD:
-Gameplay(compared to CMRae2)
-Letters and times are too small
-Replay choise
-Arcade mode?
-Few stages (compared to CMRae2)
-Car setup (compared to CMRae2)

SUMMARY:
Personaly i wanted CMRae2 in PS2 with all the advantages of PS2 (better graphics,speed etc)
Most of us who play such games have a dream;to be very good drivers like McRae BUT not be McRae.I like to be me amd choose the car that i want to race.By the way where is Peugeot 206?
And another thing, such games must be as realistic as they can because you want to feel the real thing.(There is also arcade mode (PS1)for "light" drivers)
When you finish the 3 stages all damages are repared!its a miracle! I have finished the game (all 3 seasons) and now i am bored to start all over again with the same car, no upgrading etc
I hope because loved this game from the first time...

Should have the options of Colin McRae 2,then it would be an amazing game!Detail is amazing! WRC Extreeme has the right idea with so many countries, 14 in all, proper rally drivers and all WRC cars, but that game is such a crap drive. Colin McRae 3 rocks, the detail is amazing, the effects are brilliant, the attention to detail is magnificent, i haven't stopped playingm it since i got it. Needed to ring £1 a minute line to get cheats but they are worth it for the RS200 which is a legendary car. Shame they don't have the Xsara 4wd, or 206, or Skoda, but the game is a must, best driving game out there by far! BUY IT

THE BAD:
The co driver is sometimes reading the notes too slow,specially in very hard mode,when things are going really fast.The upgradings on the car disappear when you have driven and won the Wery Hard mode,and start over again??? And why cant you drive other cars then the ford in championchip mode??

SUMMARY:
In your game,go to Options>Secrets>Code entry,on the top of this page,you have a 4 digit code.You must place a call to a special nr.standing on the back of the driver guide.Then you must type in your code,and the secret codes will be read up for you.The codes you then receive,will probably only work with your memorycard/game,so you cannot share codes or secrets.I find this a little bit strange,i think that when you have bought a game,you should not have to place calls at the cost of £1 pr.min to get access to the complete thing.........????Isn't this just to make more money??????...

the game play is verry good,all the objects are real and the car damage is very very good the bad thing is that i miss the rally in the game it is only stages no RALLY!!.overall i think that the game is very good and it will go further i can't wait until cm4 comes out if it does but they should put the rally and make it so there are no cheats on it because it tempts people to use them then it ruins them they should have secreats but no codes

This game kicks ass. However it has alot of flaws, such as:
1. The Graphics on tree's and bushes suck
2. The fact you don't get to choose your own team in championship mode
3. The fact you can't re-start a stage in championship mode is crap
4. And finally the fact that if you win a championship season the dificulty goes up!

But it has good points too:
1. The grapics on the cars and the road surfaces are cool
2. The co-driver instructions help alot, and they are accurate
3. The realism in chapionship mode is good, this is because that the damage you get in one of the stages is taken on to the next stage and not fixed, this is until you get to a service area after every 3 stages.
4. And finally, in the sweden level there are skidoos in the depp snow to the left and to the right of the course.

THE GOOD:
the graphics are ok and the view from inside the cart is ace

THE BAD:
playability is hopeless colin mcrae rally 2 is still the best rally game to date

SUMMARY:
when u start off u think it is ok then u start to nlock things like soft suspension snd i thought what a heap of mince i want to unlock cars not parts that u need to race.
they should have kept the original format and tweaked it that would have been better
