THE GOOD: Nice cars, nice citys and voicesTHE BAD: not real cars again SUMMARY: Rockstar have made a sequel to the last ground breaking street game. It has new character cars bikes everything.
you play in 3 cities tokeyo, los angeles and paris giving you some good site encluding the iful tower. The cars a exelent and you have all differnt types of car lowriders copacts bikes and sports even at the end you get a rocket car which is super fast but hard to controll
This still has the umph of midnight club but still has the same bad things as it it don't have real cars no proper MOT but you do get nitros
this game is still good and i like it in my collection but in mid night club 3 bring in the mot i want to see the mot anyway this get 1 and 1/2 thumbs up from me |

THE GOOD: Fine-Looking Cars, exquisite and challenging career Mode, tour LA, Paris and Tokyo, make your own races, GO ONLINE and a pretty good two-player battle mode!THE BAD: Nothing really, it just can get a LITTLE frustrating sometimes. Also the Police could be smarter. SUMMARY: SUMMARY: This is hands-down one of the greatest racing games I've ever played, and trust me, I've seen a WHOLE lot of racing games (Super Mario Kart, All 3 Gran Turismo's, Grand Theft Auto 3, vice City, Midnight Club 1) Everything is just eye candy. The cities, (Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles) are done well, though smaller than the New York and London stages in Midnight Club 1, but not generic. Each block holds different buildings! The cars vary (including 3 motorbikes!!) and most are solid, but the Cop Cars are the best. The career mode is challenging, each race being harder than the previous one, the difficulty curve is just right. There is a race Editor Mode where you can make your own race which is one of the best features of the game.Online---uhh I don't have a modem adapter so i really don't know that experience--but if you're down w The Fast and the Furious (and 2 Fast 2 Furious for that matter) and like this underground no holds-barred reacing game---look no further.

The eternal quest for street cred continues... | 4.5 0 comments |
by RazielTheGreat from , , | Mar 22, 2004 |
THE GOOD: The must-not-blink sense of speedTHE BAD: The smash-the-controller-in-rage difficulty SUMMARY: Rockstar screwed up royally this time-- the title's all wrong. It should be Visine Presents Midnight Club II, because after bombing through Paris' narrow alleys at 180mph, running over cafe tables, and then jumping clear across the Seine, you'll need to get the red out of those dry, unblinking eyes. I usually prefer my racing to be of the simulation variety rather then the wacky arcade-style, but Midnight Club II is so much fun, my inner sim-driving geek sits down and shuts up. As in the original, the object is to climb the ranks by challenging drivers, winning intense races, and earning faster cars. There are also cool special moves to unlock--and motorcycles. The cycles are quick but hard to handle, and theyr a favorite target in multiplayer games, as a little nudge will send you head-over-heels into oncoming traffic. The sprawling cities--L.A., Paris, and Tokyo--are actually a little smaller than the first game's in square-mile terms, but each has a clever network of underground tunnels and wild rooftop routes that significantly increases their overall size. Some of the later races get unbelieavably difficult, though, requiring you to learn every shortcut (usually through trial and error)to be even competetive. I've saved the best for last:This Club is online, too (assuming you've got a broadband connection). The range of multiplayer games and user-created race routes means near-limitless replay value and the chance to earn cred on a much larger street |

THE GOOD: Very challenging and extremely fun. Great and very realistic graphics. Excellent stunts and fast cars.THE BAD: I blow up too easily sometimes. SUMMARY: I think this game is great. This is the first racing game that I actually had to work at. All the others are too easy. It has a wide variety of cars and bikes. I like having different vehicles I can use. This game has been very challenging so far. And I have only beaten Los Angeles so far. I can only imagine how hard the rest will be. But I look forward to finding out. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a good racing game. I love this game. I haven't even played the first one. This game isn't exactly perfect, although I can't think of any faults, but it is damn near close to perfect. If you don't already have it, get it. |

THE GOOD: Dazzling graphics, Non linear routes, hot cars and even a few motorbikesTHE BAD: not much really, uhh... SUMMARY: This game is very entertaining and great fun, you can go in many different routes, meaning theres no track, just a skeleton of roads, squares, streets, alleys and attractions to speed through at 150MPH. You get aver 25 pre-made models from Sabarus to Supras, and also bikes, which surprisongly compete with cars, but you can fall off, which downgrades it a bit. You play through LA, Paris and Tokyo, in beautifully lit streets, dark dingy Industry and even Beverly hills sytle neighborhoods, this does change Illegal street racing, and can be alot more exiting than the New Need for speed title. This game barely has any negetive parts, maybe the fact that you can sometimes go too fast and looe control, and the opponents always seem to go the Easy way, but extremely hard to get to, so they normally get ahead. But this game rocks, you go through Airports, construction site, off of bridges and through flood trenches, yes this game is awesome, but the Cops are pests, but hey, BUY THIS GAME. |

THE GOOD: A big selection of cars. Levels are pretty cool and detailed. Lots of people to race in the game. Good music. The grapphics are ok but at least they are a lot better that the first Mid Ngiht Club.THE BAD: The missions can get pretty srustarting. SUMMARY: The game is a pretty fun because there are a lots of cars, cool missions, and other cool features that you can ad to your car. The graphics are ok but I think that they could have been better. At least they are a lot better than the first Mid Night Club. The levels are pretty detailed and they are pretty big so there are lots of things to see. There are lots of cars to choose from and the cool part is that most cars in the game have NOS so you can so you can boost up your speed during a rece to get the win. There are lots of missions in the game but there are some of them are pretty hard and they can get pretty frustrating. That happend to me and I got very pissed and I broke my controler. Over all the game is ok and you should are leats rent is because there are lots of cool things in the game. |

One of the Best Racing Games Ever Made | 4.2 0 comments |

THE GOOD: HUGE car selection. Music fits the game perfectly. When you get close to an opponent, this meter fills up. When the meter turns red, and you press the R2 button, everything becomes a blur as you blaze by at amazing speeds. This is very cool. The in-car voice acting. The wide range of shortcuts.THE BAD: With only three cities, you don't have much of an area choice. Be warned. People do curse and swear in this game. The cops need to present a bigger challenge and are too easy to escape from. SUMMARY: Midnight Club II does indeed have online capabilities, which open the game even further than in the first Midnight Club. The car selection is HUGE and is probably the largest vehicle selection I've seen in a racing game. The music selection is awesome and fits the game quite well. Unfortunatly, not all buildings can be driven on. In fact, if you are about to collide with an out-of-reach building after an excellent jump, you might just sail on right through it. It would have been nice if every building could be solid and not just act as a virtual you-see-it-but-you-can't-collide-with-it prop. But still, this game shouldn't be missed. |
