Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando

I'm a HUGE huge fan of Ratchet and Clank. As soon as Going Commando game out we grabbed a copy - and have been playing it non-stop ever since! Talk about a great sequel! The plot and gameplay is similar to the first game - you're going from planet to planet, bashing things, gathering up nuts and bolts and finding some INCREDIBLY fun weapons along the way. Even better, if you still have your memory card from the first game, you get to bring in many weapons from that for free. If you didn't play Ratchet & Clank I, I *really* recommend you get it! It should be super-cheap by now and is great fun. It's not required to understand this second game, though. This game is almost like 20 games in one. There are pod-racing like portions where you challenge on faster and faster tracks. There are gladiator arena fighting where you test your strength and endurance. There are spaceship flying sections like Wing Commander where you fly through asteroids and around corners. There are...

THE GOOD:
Beautiful graphics. RPG growth system is very cool. Much better enemy AI. Hilarious cut-scenes. Lots of extras to unlock. 20+ hours to complete the first time.

THE BAD:
Camera angles can be tricky in tight spaces. Some of the music is recycled from the original. Story is very predictable.

SUMMARY:
Going Commando is easily the best platformer that I've played in along time. Maybe ever. The depth of the gameplay here is amazing. Along with the regular levels that you'd expect to find in a platformer, there's hoverbike races, gladiator arenas, space combat sequences, mech battles, and a few spherical worlds that are very cool. On top of that, nearly everything in Ratchet's arsenal is upgradable or customizable, giving you total control. Another nice touch is the amount of replayability the game has. There's loads of extras to unlock that'll have you playing this game long after you've beaten it. I had a hard time coming up...

THE GOOD:

This is one of my own personal favorite games of all time! With new massive areas and planets and destructive objects to destroy, a ton of cool weapons and a furry creature with some metal on it's back... It's RATCHET & CLANK: GOING COMMANDO. This game is quite a blast to anybody who likes to destroy things!
And great for those who loved the first ratchet and clank. If you loved the first youll love this one even more! This game is 2 thumbs WAY up in the air. superb graphics and a soundtrack by NIN make this a great action romp.and the weapons that you have access to require some serious skill to really master. so all in all the game is tuff to beat!

THE GOOD:
THIS GAME HAS GREAT GRAPHICS AND SOUND EFFECTS. plus the story line is great.i also really liked it when you could enter those contests to get those gadgets. i also liked the platinum bolt feature.i also loved alll those powerful FIREARMS!!!!!!!

THE BAD:
the only bad part in this game was i wasted so much money on the weopons from R&C1 instead of just loading it and getting them for free. other than that this game is good.

SUMMARY:
other than wasted money this game is so awesome and is worth buying. even if this game was $100 i would still buy it. and plus the story line has some funny little gags along the way. also trying to 100% on this game is so challenging. trying to get all the platinum bolts and secrets in this game is really hard. especially all those freekin skill points that i got on accident. but ratchet and clank going commando is a five out of five. buy this game and you wont be disappointed!!!

this is probably one of the best games ever made. it has the best weapons and levels and it is just flat out good.the compatability with the other gam is very cool and the fact that everything is upgraddable is extremely cool. i hope they keep coming out with more game, also the gadgets are amazing. one of the cool things is the amount of twists in the game and the different ypes of bad guys and levels. it is really cool how you can upgrade youre ship and weapons with such ease. the enemy ai is much better this time and they are alot tougher.also i like how they have a new upgraded version of the R.Y.N.O wich is extremely awesome.there is nothing ui don't like about the new game. also in this game there are different kinds of robots theat clank can control like the bridge bot, the lifter bot, and the hammer bot.

THE GOOD:
Everything! Seriously, there is nothing that I didn't love about this game.

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando is quite possibly my favorite game of all time. When the first Ratchet and Clank came out, I was blown away by the stunning graphics, beautiful worlds, impressive sound effects and voices, and overall incredible action packed gameplay. Now, Going Commando takes it to a whole new level. In adition to tons of weapons, huge interactive worlds, and more than enough enemies to blow away, there is a new element of upgrading. you can improve your weapons and nanotech through experience, and buy special upgrades for your weapons and ship. Every thing. This game has humor it has awsome guns that are made even better because you can up grade them. It is made to be beaten twice but can be done as many times as you want for the greatest replay value I've ever seen.

The only bad thing is not being able to skip the opening credits and the same boring pattern flying between worlds.

The graphics are incredibly great and the music is creative and not the same old video game music you get from alot of games. The guns are cool because of the modifications you can add. My personal favorite being the shock mod. The aiming mod was the last thing I got on all my guns because I thought it was a waste of bolts. The clank missions were boring because you couldn't do anything without your micro bots and he didn't get better and was very slow.

Collecting everything will take solid weeks at least.

SUMMARY:
First, I would just like to say this - THIS, RATCHET AND CLANK II: LOCKED AND LOADED, IS THE ULTIMATE PLAYSTATION 2 VIDEOGAME.
It is PERFECTION. The graphics are even more stunning than last time, the dialogue and events are hilarious, and the gameplay is fantastic.
Not only can you buying upgrades for your Weapons, such as showering an emeny is burning acid when the blast connects with them, you can also cause your Weapons to essentially EVOLVE. Yes, once you have filled up a Weapon's Experience Bar, it will transform into its Super Form. Later on, you will be able to purchase the MEGA form - fill up this final Experience bar and you will have the ULTRA form - not to be messed with.
