SUMMARY: Red Faction was my first FPS. At first, I gave up on it because it was hard. Then I started and beat it 65% through. Then I came back 6 months later and beat it. The game is really really long. It has a lot of gameplay. There are a lot of different places you go in the game. It's funny how one person can kill around 1500 people through a game and eventually defeat all people in the way and stop every wrong thing on Mars. The game is good and has some cool guns and comments by enemies like "please, have mercy." Hendrix, the computer genius in the red faction operation is funny too, especially when he dies. ...
THE GOOD: graffics, the geo-mod (lets you blow up the enviroment), weapons, the plot, gameplay, ALMOST EVERYTHING!
THE BAD: Huh? Bad? There aint no bad!
SUMMARY: I have never seen a game with a good plot and graffics. The geo-mod makes it ALOT BETTER!Its better than its own sequel! The plot makes the game better too! If you say its bad, your saying the best shooter is bad! This is my favorite shooter
THE GOOD: controls, graphics, sound, overall gameplay

SUMMARY: i really love this game !! i´v played halflife and all the other classic fps on pc and i really have to admit that the ps2-version of red faction is the best fps i´ve ever played (well, apart from my all-time-favourite DooM of course).
i always thought that a fps would be damn hard to control with the ps2-pad, but it´s really easy once you get used to it.
you have the possibility to adjust the difficulty at the beginning of the game (from easy to impossible) and the names really fit. easy is for complete beginners, you have to be shot 50 times until you die and impossible is --- well --- impossible. loads of coooool weapons, a submarine, atv, driller and several other vehicles.
and i think i don´t have to mention the geo mod engine...
THE GOOD: Great graphics, fun gameplay, awesome multi-player, interesting storyline, super cool weapons, replay value is through the roof....
THE BAD: Boring cut-scenes....
SUMMARY: I loved this game every second I played it. You won't regret buying this game. It has an awesome multi-player that is sure to keep you busy for hours on end each day. I couldn't resist going back to this game every time I put down the controler. Its very addictive and fun. I beat it in just under 10 hours but I had fun while doing it.
THE GOOD: Weapons and graphics of course.It has alot of weapons that I liked about 20 I think I really don't remember.
THE BAD: The storyline.Also if you die one time in this game you have to start all over.So better pray you get a memory card.
SUMMARY: This game was very good in my opinion with all the good weapons and graphics.It has Rocket Launchers and guns with piecing bulllet's.This game really had it all.
THE GOOD: Excellent graphics, nice weapon selection, some fun mulitplayer maps, geo-mod innovation is somewhat impressive if nearly pointless
THE BAD: The story, at least to the extent that it strayed from it's main theme which disappointed me
SUMMARY: When I first heard the premise of the storyline for Red Faction I was eagerly anticipating its release. I found the whole concept of oppressed miners on a distant space colony and it being up to you, the protagonist, to liberate them very intriguing. To my disappointment, however, after the first ten minutes of gameplay the story abandons this idea almost completely and adopts a more typical "terrorist organizaton threatening the well being of the planet" scheme. Oh well, this is my only real gripe about the game.
Despite the aformentioned, I enjoyed playing this game a lot. In the beautiful environment the game takes place, supurb enemy A.I. and a nice selection of weaponry to choose...
THE GOOD: Excellent weapon sound,good graphics,decent array of weapons,a good all round FPS
THE BAD: Shallow storyline.Inadequate ammo for some of the more entertaining weapons in later levels,frustrating in some parts,in later levels the more dangerous enemies are almost impossible to single out in heavy fighting.
SUMMARY: Id recommend this game to anyone,it starts off in single player easy enough for FPS rookies to get into, but gets much tougher later on for the more experienced FPS veterans. In alot of other FPS games the basic pistol is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard,but in Red Faction it packs a decent punch and can last a long way into the game. It will take a bit of finesse and perseverance to get past some parts,but is well worth the effort. In all departments Id give this game a rating of 4 out of 5
THE GOOD: Graphics, Gameplay, Multiplayer, Geo-Mod
THE BAD: Slowdown when in a big gun fight, Darkness is to dark at times, Controls are a tad freaky and take adjusting.
SUMMARY: This is a must have for the PS2. Not only does it have a good One-Player Mode, but the Multi-player is well worth it also.
Great Graphics, extremely clear, Environments are drawn out really well. Only downside is that the characters look blocky, but who cares eh?
The Gameplay too is good, although sometimes searching for a little switch with no enemy's in the area can be boring. Also, their is a good, diverse selection of weapons available.
The Multi-player almost makes the game. You can either play one player with up to 6 bots, or 2 players with up to 4 bots. And you have separate difficulty levels, ranging from Easy to Impossible.
THe Geo-mod is pretty cool. Basically, it lets you destroy everything. If you get...

THE BAD: -a bit too short -control needs a lil gettin used to -your allies die too easily -you rarely get to drive the vehicles -needs more weapons -there are a few bugs(when your in disguise sometimes the alarm goes off even when your not noticed) -needs to have more multiplayer modes -2 player co-op would be nice for this game
SUMMARY: This is one of the best first person-shooters on the Playstation 2 and the lower "Greatest Hits"price is another reason to buy this awesome game
THE GOOD: Geo Mod, Graphics, Sound, Story, Gameplay! It also has really smart AI and really good Weapons. The whole mars scenario is great.
THE BAD: Controls need tweaking, but that can be done because u can reassign the whole controller to different things. so control isnt really a problem...
SUMMARY: This Game is Awesome, Buy it... you wont get tired of it. Theres so many tricks to figure out, like blastig the right wall down with a rocket launcher to get to a secret room, etc.
