THE BAD: Futile attmepts at actual "missions", play the first mission and you've played them all, most repetitive game in gaming history
SUMMARY: In all fairness this game had tons of hype to live up to but I thought it fell embarassingly short of all expectations.
Pop the game into your PS2 and you're already having fun when you start your first mission and kill the first random person you see. You throw some garbage cans around and find yourself a gatling gun. You proceed to lay waste to the panic stricken citizens around you as random gang members and security guards try and stop you. You kill them and everyone else and then kill a little more until time runs out. I have just explained to you the entire premise of this game.
It sounds fun but you don't know how fast it gets old. Your hard earned money is best spent elsewhere and this game is hardly a rental as you should be playing...
THE GOOD: Tons of action; violent; good graphics; great background music; good explosive sounds to guns and bombs; replay value; awesome stress reliever; allows you to do things you wouldn't have the guts to do in real life; FUN!!!!!
THE BAD: No cohesive story; repetitive; small levels; can't go into buildings
SUMMARY: This is a great game. Yes, it is repetitive, but it's so much fun, it never gets boring for me. Lots of people say it's only fun if played for short periods of time. Baloney. I just finished playing it for three hours straight! This game and GTA:Vice City are the most insanely violent games I've ever played. The violence is very bloody and graphic. THE GOOD: Cool characters, cool weapons, funny game....
THE BAD: Terribly setup, bad graphics, no multi-player...
SUMMARY: I found this game to be ok. I believe it is an under-rated game however. Everyone expected it to live up to GTA3 but because it didn't, everyone said that it sucked. Well, I think differently. I think the only reason no one liked it is because it came out after GTA3 and everyone had expected it to live up to GTA3. Had it come out before GTA3, I think it would have been different. Either way, its a good game.
There are several missions to do all of which are basically the same thing. Go here and pick up this, go kill that guy, go steal this, go put this here, etc. Otherwise, it was a good game that I found oddly entertaining.
I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fighter games and hopefully games such as this won't die out.
SUMMARY: state of emergency isnt AS bad as everyone says it is. ok maybe it is, but there's one thing 'rockstar' could've tweaked in the game that would've made it alright: multiplayer. it gets so boring doing repetative missions over and over again by yourself, but if you were with a friend, this would be a great party game. maybe they'll put it in the sequel... you gotta admit its pretty amazing to have over 100 rioting people going crazy all around you.

SUMMARY: When i heard about SOE, I thought that it was going to be a really great game, because it was produced by Rockstar(I'm saying that i thought it was going to be as good as GTA3, since i had seen previews of SOE and GTA3 looked better). Unfortunately, i got really bored while playing since the missions are repetative. You end up doing the same things over and over. The variety of weapons was really great, though. In fact, most of the weapons in SOE were included in GTA:VC, like the mini-gun, tear gas, and the Katana, so SOE may have been the inspiration for some of GTA:VC's weapons. you can use almost everything as a weapon, from chairs and safes, to TVs and even human body parts! Nothing is funner than blowing off the person's head and then proceeding...
THE GOOD: The levels are basically 1 big riot and you can play "God" in the riot.
THE BAD: Too repetetive, boring missions, no storyline.
SUMMARY: This game was a big dissapointment to many. Although some may like it, I would reccoment renting it first. Fans of shooters and action games might like this, but most others won't, probably because of the extreme violence. Althought I thought this game sucked, it's still worth a rent.

SUMMARY: whe i heard of this game i was a little impressed, then i heard it was being developed by rockstar, the geniuses behind the gta series, i jumped for joy and made sure this was a game i must have
but it was a little dissapointing, the game gets a little repetitive and boring after a while, you find yourself playing other games instead
i fell this game could have been so much better if rockstar had put more effort into it, only get it if your a real action game fan, but even then you may feel dissappointed

SUMMARY: This game is great to play for awhile but after some time it gets a little boring, there is a lot of missions to start with as you kill, steal, and destroy yo take the city back from the hands of the corparation, an evil croupted goverment running the country, as you make your way through the game you`ll be required to do many things inculding killing corparation officals, steal corparation doucments and suppiles, and destroying coraration vechicals and bulidings. But once the city is in the hands of freedom the game gets bpring as hell, theres more things to do after inculding chaos-an all out free for all were anything is a target, and last clone standing where you must gun down 200 cooraption guard clones in the fastest time possible.In all this game is ok, but not if you dont enjoy blasting a few civilans.

SUMMARY: Ok this game is pretty good but not the best its gives you something to do when you are very bored i enjoyed this game but others may not. But this game has a great storyline when you get further you learn more into the storyline. When this game first came out i figured i have to get this because it sold out fast where i live. well i played this game alot its fun though if you buy i i'm sure some of you will enjoy it.
