THE GOOD:
Takes the summoner series to the next level, a worthy sequel. The characters in this game are a definate step up from the first Summoner and they come complete with interesting backgrounds. Awesome characters. The story line is a good one and it takes place 20 years where Joseph left off. A worthy sequel indeed.

THE BAD:
The summoner series is very underated. Although the characters are a huge step up from its predicessor, unlike the first summoner where you summon the creatures and they fight with you, Summoner 2 Maia actually becomes the creatures meaning no Maia and no extra party member during that time period. This was really a big step down and didn't please me at all, a terrible decision by the producers.

SUMMARY:
Even though I would so much prefer summoning the creatures to fight next to me adding the extra party member don't let that steer you away from this game its still a great game and will entertain you for hours.

THE GOOD:
the games battle system for an RPG is second to none besides looking cool it is also easier to handle than the first game.unlike other people i thought the graphics were..well not great but good enough for a game that has so many worlds and areas to cover.

THE BAD:
now i cant believe it but i found the quick demo's and intro's extremely boring..half the time the dont actually speak the words and besides that they never give you a clue whose who or whats what..example the start.you see sangaril attack the pirate captain..but for all we know she could be another mercenrary trying to kill the queen.also the side quests are enjoyably some but do sidetrack you alot from the game

SUMMARY:
i think the summoning and the fighting is great and the graphics of the summoning is not to be bettered yet.i think this game is a really good game that picks up on some of the faults of the first one.lets hope a 3rd will better the faults of this game

THE GOOD:
A vast improvement on the first game with a nice battle system better graphics and some generally nice touches.

THE BAD:
Graphics still could be better, a little too difficult at times I felt

SUMMARY:
I played the first summoner and was so dissapointed. I bought summoner 2 very warily but was pleasently surprissed. They got rid of the annoying slow combat system which was frustrating and made a much smoother more action oreintated battle system. The graphics are still a little dissapointing but has come on leaps and bounds since the first game. You will always find that there is a lot of action and a lot to do with this game and woven into the structure is a lot of sub quests, I have to say that I was very pleasently surprissed with this game, lets just hope summoner 3 is even better. Overall a vast improvement and a nice little rpg if a tad tricky at times.

THE GOOD:
The summoning, the battles, gameplay,NPC interaction with actual voice overs, skill point assigning, levelling up, the weapons, healing, the list goes on, and oh getting to save anytime you want!

THE BAD:
Well actually not that bad but the graphics weren't as good as what I expected.

SUMMARY:
Ok so the first thing you'll notice is that the graphics aren't the best you've seen, but so what, cause soon you won't care. The next thing that jumps out at you, is Maia's combat abiliti. It rules, no matter what you heard, as far as RPG's go, this game has one of the best and smoothest battle systems. You can lock on, deal damage and then block. Once you master the controls, and get used to her combo's/vulnerabilities, you can open up cans of whoopass at your disposal. Levelling up is smooth and assigning skill points is fun. Weapons, treasures, potions and items are plentiful and very quick and easy to manage. The weapons and their upgrades...
