THE GOOD: - Best graphics in a PS2 game - Superb game play - Soundtracks for stages are awesome - Combat system is really improved - You can play the past Tekken games (1,2,3 only) a superb bonus - 3 new and unique characters - Storymode is really great - And more!!
THE BAD: - Nothing really other than the cheap boss in the end and the extremely long arcade mode. - No online
SUMMARY: Tekken fans are sure to have a good fight on their hands with Tekken 5. I'm going to avoid saying that it packs a punch because that would be cornball but then again, so is the humor that courses throughout the game.
Taking all the best elements of the series, Tekken 5 is kind of like the "best of" but it's not just rehash. It continues to redefine the series with new features while maintaining the elements that have proven universal appeal. Even though the series continues to evolve it will still be comfortable...
THE GOOD: Arcade-perfect graphics & sound. Lots of hidden mini-games and other extras. Very high replay value.
THE BAD: Somewhat quirky controls. No online play. High difficulty level. Unbalanced CPU AI.
SUMMARY: The 5th installment in the Tekken series is once again primarily an arcade-to-PS2 port of the game. The storyline really hasn't changed from previous Tekkens-many fighters have been invited to compete in The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 5, but this time there are reports that Heihachi Mishima is dead and the Mishima Zaibatsu is in shambles as a result-this plays laregly into the game's back story.
The graphics are virtually arcade-perfect. The character models show almost realistic levels of detail and the frame rate is extremely smooth. The backgrounds look awesome and also change to reflect interaction through gameplay. Sounds are also dead-on, between all the character voices, music, and sound FX, topped off with an...
THE GOOD: Graphics are more ral than ever. Moves are coming togther quite nicely, and anyone can beat this game.I love that you can alter the costumes of the charecters. You can make Ganruy look like Harry Potter!
THE BAD: The really bad part is, I know that I am gonna sound like a baby but, Jinpachi Mishima is almost impossible to beat. And also In every Tekken they change Yoshimitsu's costume, What's up with that!
SUMMARY: This is a really great game and I praise Namco. The only thing I have against this game is that it is the same old Tekken. I own all of the Tekkens so I would know. It is always the same. You choose a char., fight 2-3 battles, and win or loose! There aren't any "real" background interactions, accept for the dying frog, and there is a VERY secure boundary. Now the positive feedback. It has all of the best char.'s there ever were. The graphics are da bomb and the moves are more real than ever. There are all new char....
Game: Tekken 5 Genre: Fighting Players: 1-2 ESRB Rating: Teen- Language, Sexual Themes, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, Violence Difficulty: Adjustable Replay Value: High
Ten Years of Violence and Skyscraper Hair have taken the Tekken Series to a Whole new level. Now, Tekken 5 hits stores and I'm loving it. I've been w/ Tekken since It's early days in the Arcades. Now I'm seeing it's better then ever.
First off, The Graphics.
We've all seen what the PS2 is capable of, FFX, GT4, GTA:SA, just to name a few. Tekken 5 Reaches new levels w/ their new Graphics Engines and 3D Worlds makes Tekken feel Real. Now that they have new Ground Sensors, making the Floor crush when you take the Enemy Down, makes the Punches feel more Dangerous every time. Plus how the Character Models keep getting better and better, w/ more polygons stored into the characters makes them look as good as they play. The Backgrounds look Unbeliveable as The Battle Fields look Amazing....
THE GOOD: Characters, moves that go with the characters, graphics, styile, gameplay, story mode, Devil Within etc
THE BAD: Repetitive gameplay, slow on attacking.
SUMMARY: Lemme just say this:
I was very pleased when I bought Tekken 5. It has to be the best fighting game for the PS2 right now. The story continues with the Mishima Zaibatsu as well as Devil Gene, and Devil Jin. The story mainly revolves around the Kazama and Mishima family bloodline, but there are new characters who were also put in as well to make this game great.
I must say, the scenery when you play such as the levels are magnifecent. I couldn't belive the gFx either when I first started playing. Everything about this game is great except for a couple things in minor:
Repetitive gameplay gets annoying only becuase it's a fighting game, but thats why the put in The Devil Within RPG/Adventure minigame in with it.
THE GOOD: the have the Devil version of jin. and jin cousin or sister on there and jun like character.custimize thing.new characters, old characters from tekken 3,4,and tag tournament.
THE BAD: the should of had Devil(kazuya) and NO JINPACHI!!. on the custimize if you equip wings that person should be able to fly.when you knock somebody down the ground pops up.they should have something that can like make the character stronger, faster, and have good tecnique
SUMMARY: if they have the custimizing thing on tekken 6 just say if i was custimizing Kazuya if you equip all the parts of devil if you press all the buttons at once he will transform into devil. The same thing with jin.and they shouldn't put bosses that are not unlockable and no cheap moves.they should put more new characters like 5-7.they should make an angel jin since on tekken 5 they had the angel halo and wings
THE GOOD: CUSTOMIZATIONS! TEKKEN 1, 2, 3, and STARBLADE! AWESOME GRAPHICS! GREAT VARIETY OF CHARACTERS!
THE BAD: No irregular buildings- All of them are circle square or never ending...
Some trademark moves of characters left out.
CPU is MUCH harder.
SUMMARY: Tekken comes back louder than ever! This is the sequel to the always-popular Tekken series. Classic characters come back with all new ones like Raven, Asuka Kazama, Feng Wei, and the most anticipated Devil Jin! All new features let you save up money and buy many gizmos and gadgets to customize your character, dressing them the way YOU want them. An all mew adventure mini-game "Devil Within" takes you through Jin's past, and uncover the secrets to his past shrouded life.
If you thought the previous Tekkens were good, hop on your car and drive to a local gaming store and pick up a copy of a long-expected Tekken 5 today!
Overview This game has great graphics, gameplay, and is an all around fun action. The rubble flies as you slam people, everyone is customizable to your taste, this is a great way for Namco to show 10 years since Tekken to Tekken 5. And speaking of Tekken, it and its two predacessors after that are on here as well. The only thing this is missing is online play, by the hours pf unlockables make up for that.
Graphics (5 out of 5)[b] I haven't seen graphics this good in a while. They show off what the Playstation 2 can do graphics whose and is almost the best graphics I have ever...
