Test Drive

I rented this game with my free rental coupon over at Blockbuster. Just returned it and it may come back as a keeper.

Graphics: 8/10

The developers did a nice job recreating the cities in the game. Very excellent use of the lighting, but the buildings could have used a little more detail. While racing through the cities, gamers will be able to recognize famous landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge. Everything looks nice and authentic. The game has a very fast frame rate that is still pretty good even in two player.

The cars look wonderful and the hardcore car fanatic will be able distinguish them. Because the game has actual real life car models, driving 150 MPH head on in to a bus will not scathe your car at all, not even a single scratch.

Gameplay: 9/10

The best part of the game, is the "Underground". This is like the story mode of the game and where you shall spend most of your time playing...

THE GOOD:
Cool cars, fun races, interactive courses, creative courses, good multi-player, lots of extras....

THE BAD:
Long...

SUMMARY:
I enjoyed playing this game. Its a good, solid racing title that deserves more credit than it gets. Its under-rated and is a overall great game that every racer game fan should own.

I think the storyline missions are a blast because its a cool storyline to follow with loads of cool cut-scenes. I was surprised with its replay value as well. Its through the roof!

THE GOOD:

SUMMARY:
This game is a great racing game. It includes some of the coolest cars in real life. The races are pretty fun, and the instant replays are great. Although there are some bad things about the game. The time it takes to complete this game is averaged out to be about 3 days. It took me two days. The London races are identical to Midnight Club's London races (As by what my friend tells me). I recommend this game for renting because it is too easy but is fun to play with friends or a party.

THE GOOD:
Oh man it has nice graphics,awesome cars, Wicked colors for cars, a long good story mode, 4 huge!!!! cities including london , music rocks!!!!!!!!!!!,Great and very fun game to play!

THE BAD:
the night time levels are kinda hard to see where you are going even with 100% brightness on my t.v, multiplayer is O.K. not at its finest, Cops catch you by touching you which is **** and last of all when you get busted and you still get to race and not end up in jail but you can't get into 5th or higher after you get caught which i found dumb!

SUMMARY:
Well what can I say..... this game is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!! fun game to play I really enjoyed it, rarely like some other games I recomend car game fans to actually buy this game or if you don't like the looks of it rent it umm I don't specificly totally!!! hate the bad parts I just put them there cuase I thought...

THE GOOD:
Everything. It had great graphics, awesome cars, and fun and challenging tracks.

THE BAD:
Its all just racing. There is no free time to site see.

SUMMARY:
I would recomend this game is bought not only to add to a collection but to buy a great game. It is one of the funnest racing games yet for playstation2. It also has good music from some of the great artits. It has a 2 player mode. What more do you want?

THE GOOD:
The visuals are extremly good. The cars are of a wide variety that is second to that of Gran Turismo 3 in my opinion. And also the best loading screen: pong.

THE BAD:
The music is nothing but rap and pop. Not the way to go. The difficulty is very high.

SUMMARY:
I would suggest this to those who were fans of the Play Station Test Drive series.

THE GOOD:
During load time you can play singlt player or 2 player pong. (One of the first videogames ever mass produced) The graphics are great. Everything is smooth as silk.

THE BAD:
Long loads. (For those who dislike pong)Not enugh ending.

SUMMARY:
This game is just missing somthing all together in general. I found it hard to really get into. If you really want to play this game i say rent it. You will finish really quick. It's an ok game but not worth it's current price tag.

THE GOOD:
The graphics and cars are great. I haven't really played a game like this before and it is really exciting to see what is going to happen next or what someone is going to say in the "Vidi Mail" feature. The controlling is awesome and you don't want to stop playing it. The extended features that pass just circuit races, such as point-to-point, drag racing, and cop chases are very fun.

THE BAD:
The ending is dissappointing because there isn't much of an ending. I was also hoping for a bit more movies in between races, that would've been cool. The music is also really not my taste of music (I hate rap).

SUMMARY:
If I had the money I would buy this game and reccommend you do or at least a rental. I rate this game a 4.5 which is an excellent performance game in my opinion. Have fun with it!

THE GOOD:

Ok this game is ok but my friend mike beat it in a week and after that he finished to the races to be 100 i would like to but this game myself and if it not good i will probaly trade it in. But i probaly woulden't get alot of money for it. But the songs on it ar pretty good.
