THE GOOD:
Whatever topic a Sims game covers,it does it really well.
So many translations...
Talking with a Chimpanzee!
Exploring other islands doing side stories and finding your lost family.
Build so many things.
Removed disgusting things from previous games like flushing toilets and cleaning... and they even had them as raising your sim's mood...

THE BAD:
Gets complicated.
Will need some getting used to.

SUMMARY:
Sims 2 Castaway is the latest Sims game. This series is known for the many, many, many expansions to both games. It is a series of simulator games covering topics from university to pets to this one.

Story:
Not much to tell... you choose how many people go to a trip with their boat that has a little accident and end up castaway in an island in the Carribean. Your target is either going back to civilization or enjoying your new life. You can also do "side-quests" to meet other people (or gorillas) or your own family (if you chose a family) or obtain blueprints, materials and food to make things like houses or tools and have something to eat.

Sound:
The sound is the last thing you're going to care about in this game. The sound effects are good but the gibberish sounds that come out when people are talking still are there and that's amusing at first but gets annoying in the end.

Graphics:
Ever since Sims 2 (for PS2 always) the Sims games have an on-character camera following him around and that cannot be changed in-game. The game's graphics are nice but nothing out of the ordinary because simulation games don't put that much interest in grphics as in gameplay.

Gameplay:
The greatest thing in Sims games is that there is always so much to do. For example, you can build a tiki house by collecting wood and lighting a fire on top. There are plenty of islands to explore, lots of things to make (including recipes for food) like clothes, tools, houses or even rings and a pretty good way to collect material. There is a tutorial in the beginning too and the needs of a sim are unlocked only when needed (that's less worrying) but another bad thing is that the cheat menu is still included and using cheats in simulation games is the worst thing you can do with cheats.

Overall, it's a good game that only simulation game fans will like, though... This game has every right to call itself a Sims game as it represents its series just as it really is, the best (or one of the best at least) simulation games and whether you like it or not, Sims is the flagship of simulation games.
