THE GOOD: Enhanced 3d graphics using poligons rather than sprites. Added objects not found on the PC version. A fully cutomizable way to create sims from their hair style to their shoe type. Upgraded music selection.
THE BAD: The gameplay is virtually exactly the same as the classic Sims game....but it wouldn't be The Sims if it wasn't.
SUMMARY: To start off, The Sims on PS2 is a successful port to a console from the PC in my oppinion. Bringing such a broad, popular game to a console from the PC is no easy task, and the chances of failure are high. But EA has somehow managed to make it work...and then some. The Sims on PS2 isn't just a port of the PC version, it's a completely remade game with improvements everywhere. The most obvious of improvements is the graphics, making the change from 2D to 3D. While the 3D graphics don't really compare to other PS2 titles very well, it's a huge improvement on the original The Sims game. The 3D look is so...
This is a great game but as I played I could not help but think about things I wish it had. Things like being able to buy a car. Visit other peoples houses as well as stores clubs etc. WEEKENDS:for every five days you work you should get two days off. If they can do some of these things in part 2 as well as the other things Im sure they are going to add the SIMS should have a long happy life on the PS2
THE BAD: - controls are harder than pc but its not a big problem - mainly for people that like controling other peoples lives
SUMMARY: Sims was first release on the PC and the game was a huge hit. So it was just a matter of time before he game was realesed onto game consoles.
The Sims can become very very addictive. This is a game where you can be playing it all day and you really just wouldnt get bored but for other users it could seem boring as your control people lives.
Controls for The Sims are abit hard to understand and for a new commer to the game they would find it really hard to control but us sims fans expected that cos we know that a keyboard has alot more butttons that a PS2 controller.
A good feature that has been added to this game is the ability to have 2 player games. This can be really fun and games are only 10 minutes long so users dont normally get bored...
THE GOOD: The game is 10x better than the one on PC.
THE BAD: ???????????
SUMMARY: The Sims for PS2 is everything you want. You can do what you could on PC and more. You able to go through Get A Life Mode and unlock items you can buy and so on. You can also challenge a friend... Whether its coning people out of money or cooking people a lot of home-burned food. This is a great game and for all of you Sims fans this is the game you want to add to your collection.
THE GOOD: Tons of Objects to choose from Get a Life is a great feature which makes you earn the objects. Ability to create your own person Great 3D graphics and angles
THE BAD: Time goes by very slow if you have a roomate which isn't sleeping and you are. Sometimes it's quite hard keeping the peoples motives up. 1 floor for the houses
SUMMARY: The Sims is a great game, One that everyone should get, There are so many things you can do in this game. If you want new items, all you do is go play Get A Life and meet the goals and you will recieve new items/objects. Tired of plaing that all day? Play 2 player mode with you friend of Sibling. You can play a game together working to make money etc or you can compete for different things. There is also a feature that allows you to create you own dream house with anything you want in it. This game is a great game and your never going to stop playing it. Buy it now!
THE BAD: All the events, menus, and interface can be overwhelming Not everyone will like the game The gibberish spoken by the sims can be annoying
SUMMARY: Overall, I loved The Sims. It's incredibly realistic, and there is so much to do. It's also very addictive, and I found myself creating many different characters. The sound is pretty good, but the sims annoying chatter sometimes can be annoying, but you get used to it. Once you learn it, the interface and menus become second nature, and the relationship system I found to be pretty good. But there are so many events going on around your Sim that sometimes handling all the situations by employing the menus, etc. can be a bit overwhelming, but it eventually becomes non-existant. But, while I really enjoyed this game, I know that some will not, but those who do have enough patience to play this game will enjoy it.
THE GOOD: -Great Graphics! -Great Music, although it may be elevator! -Great Challenges/Obstacles -Hilarious "Sim Language" (speech & body language)
THE BAD: -This game might trigger some of your nerves because some challenges are hard to overcome, but there are a few cheats if you must.
SUMMARY: I received The Sims as a birthday present this past September and I have been obsessed ever since. If you are someone looking for a game to play that won't get dull, buy this or one of its sequals, and I promise, you will not be dissappointed. This game is great beyond reason and I give it my highest rating! I guarantee you will become obsessed once you have learned how to manuver this entertaining game. The best points of this game is listening to the Sims' jibberish and getting to make your Sim partake in body motions that will have your gut exploding with laughter. This game is mature though, so if you are buying it as a gift, make sure...
THE GOOD: You play as a GOD! You control the Sims There Actions There Jobs! There Money How Rich they Are Everything! You are God, you control these Sims fates It's all in your hands
THE BAD: You have to wait for you Sims to wake up when they are asleep and all you can do is sit there and wait. Limits to amount off stuff you can but in your homes Lights take up alot of your Room SPACE! No Naked Sims
SUMMARY: Overall this game is great, great for when you are bored and need something to do. It will kill alot of your time and when you get tried of playing it, four or more hours has gone by. You control your Sims Fate, you can make them die, have sex, have babies, fight, cry, homeless or rich. You have the power, you are a God in this game. You control everything, the Sims world is in your hands. What will you do with it, destory it or make it your Empire.
THE GOOD: graphics, realistic, fun, you can make your own people and homes, there are set tasks unlike the PC version.
THE BAD: nothing really apart from it is harder to control than the PC version.
SUMMARY: This is definatly one of the best games ever created on the Ps2 it has everything a good simulation game should have, Its realistic, you can control nearly everything you sim family do. It is a great game for anyone who likes simulation games and it is really fun. I think it is alot better on PC than the ps2 as you can download updates and buy add on packs. it is also easier to control on the pc. My rating is go and buy this game I dont know how you can live with out it.
The Sims is one of the most addicting games you'll ever play...3 dimensional camera angles, hundreds of unique items, and a whole neigborhood to create to your very own liking. Besides, with tons of new things to try and unlock, etc...Who wouldn't want this game!!! In conclusion, I suggest that anyone who has not tried The Sims for PS2 yet, go out and buy it right now!!!
