Playstation 2 - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004

This years version of Tiger Woods' game has been updated with all new gameplay features and different modes of play. There is everything from an incredibly long career mode in which you must boost your created golfers stats up from a lowly amateur to be able to beat the greatest golfer in the world to the most in-depth online golf game in video game history. EA Sports laid everything down on the line to get this game just right, and in that gamble they won in every way.

In all honesty there is very little that can depreciate from the experience of the game. The nature of the game allows for the game to be extremely easy for those players who play with the better golfers - this is especially true in the career mode when a good player will be able to outscore the second place golfer by 30 strokes for a good tournament. SUMMARY:
This is the best golf game that I've ever played for sure. And there's enough new additions to the game to make it worth buying even if you already own TW 2003. The PGA Tour Season and the Real-time Events are two new game modes that'll keep you busy for a long time. Perhaps the best addition though, is the new EA Sports Gameface mode. It allows you to create a character that looks exactly like yourself or any other person that you could possibly imagine.

Bottom line. This game rocks. It's just a little too easy.

I haven't previously played any other Tiger Woods game, so when I frist got the game I wasn't to sure what to expect. But I am very pleased with what I got for my money.

First off there is so much to do, including - World tour, PGA Tour, Scenarios, Real-time events and Online play in the US(unfortunately not in Europe). Obviously doing all of this would take quite a while, and give you your moneys worth.

The actually gameplay is also very good, although if your Golfer has high spin stats it can make the flight of the ball a little unrealistic. I also have found the game to be quite a challenge as you have to start of having all your golfers stats at 0%.

Tiger Woods 2003 was the greatest golf game of all time, and now 2004 improves on that. An in-depth create-a-player and a huge selection of items and equipment to chose from gives you almost limitless possibilities to make your own golfer. This Tiger Woods is the best of the series. The amount of new golfers and the new courses is a huge bonus. I also like that they still have the courses and most players from the older Tiger games. The gameplay is mostly similar and the World Tour is quite harder. Which is a good thing. Another benefit is the outlet to spend money after you have all of your stats. The Create a player is a huge bonus to this game. If you play around with it long enough you should be able to make a good replica of yourself. Like most games these days, Tiger Woods 2004 is a major update from the previous, but they did one thing most aren't doing. That is keeping all of the game staples intact. Thus not allowing commited fans to be upset. I would say that this is the best Golf game on the market. A must buy!

SUMMARY:
Tiger Woods 2004 is a beautiful game for the PS2, which I have. But it ONLY allows you to have MINIMAL power ratings for the distance of your drive, accuracy in putting and other attributes. This VERY frustrating, because when you play the other players in the "world tour" to try to accumulate money so you can buy power up attributes you are unable to beat your opponents. They always win out by a stroke or two.Why? Because you cannot tee off far enough. Your putting is not as accurate as it could be.

Oh sure, you are given a couple hundred dollars just for playing, but that is hardly enough to increase all your golfing attributes.You need at least 15 to 20 THOUSAND dollars to power up your ratings.

I'm steamed over this. For I shelled out $53.00 and I only have a player with 20% golfing...

Still trying to figure out all of the new options. Have not had time to play all of the new additions yet. I need to find out how to play two players on the season mode. My girlfriend is into this game almost as much as me. Help!! I can't play it all the time if she can't too! LOL Overall I think this game gets better every year and although I have defeated Super Tiger all of the tournaments except The grand slam I am still playing 2003. I do not play allot of PS2 games but this one has me hooked. Although I made a mistake letting my girlfriend create her own player that took two hours! LOL
