"This is certainly nothing like any other multiplayer game on a console -- 16 simultaneous players, 30 maps, and a total of 53 different map/game combinations -- and the execution of the graphics and basic gameplay are good enough to let those distinctive Tribes qualities shine through."

"...if youve got a PS2 and the network adapter, then Tribes: Aerial Assault is a great game for the beginners to start out with, however I cant really suggest to purchase the game unless youre a fan of the run n gun type games."

"Tribes visuals set the tone for a futuristic motif and futuristic looking inhabitants perfectly -- maybe even slightly reminiscent of Halo for the Xbox. The characters were rendered with a lot of style and flash, and likewise can be said for the numerous weapons. The backgrounds are shaping up nicely, and theyll probably look excellent once the game is finished. As always, Inevitable Studios is aiming for a smooth framerate with no signs of slowdown or frame drops.
