SUMMARY:
True Crime: Streets of LA is a great game to play when you first buy it but when you beat it it has not so much of a replay value left in it besides trying to collect all of the Dogg bones which I will go into more later. This game like every other has it's ups and downs to it, but this game has more ups to it which is a great thing. Nick Kang who is the main character gets repetitive with his words and it gets boring. The story sees Nick Kang trying to find out who killed his father and it is a great story which just makes you think a lot about the story.
Some missions will require you to use stealth. I like that addition to the game but what I didn't like about the stealth is that if you made one little mistake you only get three seconds to either kill the enemy that spotted you or to just give up. You won't find yourself using the stealth to much but it's great to use it.
The game sees an array of cars which are all unique in there own special way. I like that you can store your cars in a garage that transfers them around to the rest of the garages in the city. I didn't like this feature because you could only store the cars that you unlock within the game through races. You couldn't transfer the cars that you stole from the other drivers which is pretty sad to see... I mean to not see.
Upgrades... a very good thing that you will be wanting to do very often. In the game there are upgrades that you can receive to upgrade your fighting, cars, and weapons. After a mission you earn points which you can use to get the upgrades. For fighting you either earn grapples or combos. When you upgrade for new cars you get just that, new cars. I didn't like that there was only three cars that you can unlock. Lastly you can upgrade your weapon skills such as aiming or you can get a whole new weapon that is bound to be stronger. I liked this feature all in all.
There are about three different endings to this game. The real ending is the one that goes straight down the middle in the mission select. The alternate endings go onto the side. I like the whole alternate ending idea because it gives you another view on the story.
Lastly there are Dogg Bones. While playing the game there are 30 Dogg Bones that are scattered all around the city for you to collect. I like that once you collect them you can play as Snoop Dogg hence Dogg bones.
For bad there is the car damage. I didn't like that when the car was damaged it wasn't very realistic so that should have been worked on. When you get hit by a car it doesn't like to realistic.
This game was great overall and from me it receives a 4.2 for it being such a great game.
