"The PS2 version has been played, and its great, but it doesnt include online multiplayer, which is one of the central components of Pro Evolution Soccer, thus is considered with less importance. The most logical place to start is whats new in 2008. The biggest (proclaimed) feature is the introduction of Teamvision."

"Overall then, PES 2008 on PlayStation 2 is more of the same, which is exactly what die-hard fans want. The all-conquering gameplay remains intact and, for this season at least, Pro Evo is still at the top of its game. However, with the much-improved next-generation version coming on leaps and bounds, it'll be interesting to see which game has the edge come October, when PES 2008 is released in Europe."

"Pro Evolution 2008 is looking good enough to rekindle that old flame one more time. More importantly, the Xbox 360 version plays great, instead of the botch job that was PES6. Unfortunately though, it seems that the Master League is identical to last year - other than a redesign of the menu, there seem to be no new surprises. It was amusing to see old buddies like Minanda appear in the team menu to offer their thoughts on the season ahead, but it's hardly a compelling enhancement. Even so, it looks like Konami still has a winner on their hands, especially for those gamers who are serious about their football."
