X-Men Legends

THE BAD:
* Loading time could be a drag at times.
* Not being able to use leveled up players the second time 'round.
* MORE X-MEN CHARACTERS!
* Graphics could be better.

SUMMARY:
I was a bit skeptic of playing an X-Men game. Having played the horrible Marvel titles released in the past to other gaming consules, I wasn't expecting much from this game. Heck, I even refused to play this game at one point because I heard the lead character was going to be a girl named Magma. Why not have good ol' Wolverine or Cyclops be the lead?

I grew up reading X-Men comics in the late 80s/early 90s and I've always thought that an X-Men game would only be good if it was made as a RPG. This was a good attempt at it but not quite the X-Men game everyone (including myself) have been looking forward to... but it's very close to it. You start off being Wolverine going through the streets of New York in pursue of Mystique and Blob, whom are tearing down the city looking for a mutant by the name of Alison Crestmere (Magma). As you progress through the level, you'll get aid by Cyclops to take on Blob. As story goes on, you see why Alison was being chased after by the Brotherhood and you get to unlock a few more X-Men along the way to help you out. The graphics aren't the best but it's the best damn Marvel superhero based game out. By the way, the co-op multiplayer isn't bad either. Let's your buddies jump right in the game and choose one of the 15 playable characters. Loads of fun! The best thing is that X-Men Legends 2 has been confirmed so we'll get to see this game develop, perhaps, into a successful game franchies for Marvel.
