PS2  An O.K. Game 4.0

THE GOOD:
lots and lots of action. Good story. Good contols.

THE BAD:
Multiplayer only when you beat the game. VERY short.

SUMMARY:
Concept: 3.5/5
You play as a little boy whos parents died meats a giant robot (Frame) and is now fighting evil.

Graphics:5/5
Very good and detailed.

Sound: 4.5/5
It could get a little anoying at times but when it's not anoying it's very energetic and cool.

Playability: 5/5
It's a very fast game wich may sound like a problem but with these conrols not even begginers will ever be lost. A big problem though is the length of this game, you could beat it in 4 hours.

Entertainment: 5/5
So good you'll never want to stop playing, even after years of having the game.

Replay Value: High
You should still be playing this game for a while. It won't get borring, unless you are the type of person who just won't play a game again.

This game will probably be the funnest game you will ever play (not best). The problem is it's shortness. The contols can not get anoying, they just can't. You will probably much more injoy the sequal to this game though. The game is so much fun, you could fly up and down, shoot, you get new eqwuipment, change the difficulty and even get multyplayer although it's at the end of the game. The story isn't complex, a 7 year pld can understand it. I suggest you go pick it up, wether buy or rent. If you are one of those people who don't give about a multiplayer and don't even bother to play games more than once than RENT it you cannot buy it, it would be a waist of money, only 4 hours of gameplay. Now if you like to play ga,es over and over again, and you love action, and beating up your little brother in multiplayer then you should buy this game, in Gamestop/Babbages/Planet X it only costs about $15 used so go out and get it.

THE GOOD:
The graphics are really good. Its fun,Interesting story, and leveling up.It also comes with a MGS2 Demo even though nwadays you can buy the actual game for 10 bucks.

THE BAD:
The main character is a little wimp, the game is very short and not to much replay value.

SUMMARY:
Ths is the game about the lameass hero Leo Stenbuck. He rides the Orbital Frame Jehuty. This game is fast fun and short. Its sequel blows it out of the water but at least it fun as hell. You like mechs?Rent this.It is really short and can be in a lazy afternoon. There are harder modes in the game but do nothing to change the expirence except for being harder. In the game as you fight you gain expierience points and it raises your strength and defence. There are also some sub weapons but youl rarely use them.

Graphics: From the anime-inspired character designs, to the slick mechs, the graphics bleed style. In battle, movement and attacks are graceful eye candy. The cityscapes crumble and burn in response to attack and provide a wonderful sense of scale, but are hindered by annoying invisible walls and a lack of variety.

Story: The plotline is barely even noticeable. The game’s premise and setting offer an opportunity for an interesting and engaging story, but it squanders its potential, keeping the plot and character development to the bare minimum that moves the game along without actually telling a story. The result is sterile and uninspiring. The gamer can’t feel any sympathy towards Leo’s plight since they barely even get to know him. The characters’ lack of personality can be best exemplified by the fact that my favorite is ADA: your mech’s emotionless computer system. Reaching the end of the game leaves you with no sense of completion or reward, feeling more like an elaborate set-up for The Second Runner than a game meant to stands on its own. I’ve heard that the two games were originally designed to be one, but the first part had be hacked off and packaged on its own. It shows in the story department.

Sound: I adore the score, which features several catchy j-pop songs, techno, and some nice instrumentals. The sound effects fit well. The voice acting is okay, but voice can get annoying--as can ADA’s one-liners during battle (such as “We are heading for the outer edge of the battlefield.” and “We have eliminated the enemy.”)

Gameplay: In a word: exhilarating. But it isn’t perfect. The control system is intuitive and fluid, allowing you to focus on strategy, rather than trying to figure out how to align Jehuty with your target. The boss fights are challenging and creative, and require thought to survive. Button-mashing won’t get you through the random encounters by the end of the game. Nor will a linear path through every area. Forward progress will sometimes require you to backtrack and search for new paths, items, and possibilities. However, the majority of missions are more linear than imaginative.

Lifespan: Z.O.E.’s greatest fault is its length. Just as the game is beginning to accelerate, it’s stunted with an untimely conclusion. It can be beaten in under four hours without any prior experience, and under two the second time around. Graded mini-missions and a 2-player mode are meant to flesh out its lifespan, but the former is more frustrating than fun and the latter is no more than a novelty. Fortunately, I found that the 4 available difficulty levels can multiply its replayabilty value, and if tossed into a drawer for a couple months, it’s just as fun to beat again. Still, the title would improve greatly from a few more hours of gameplay.

Overall: A good rental.

THE GOOD:
Nice graphics, it's enjoyable enough while it lasts

THE BAD:
Get's repetitive, far too short, there are better mech games out there

SUMMARY:
This game did impress me quite a bit at first and at the time it came with the mgs2 demo which made it a must have for me anyway.

It is a good enough game but lacks variety, the story line isn't too bad but isn't the most exciting thing ever and the game is altogether too short.

This is all in all a very average game. When I think of ZOE I think of pretty average everyday life such as sunday dinners, postment and trousers. So to end my reveiw ZOE is best described as a pair of trousers.

THE GOOD:
The music in this game co-exists with the gameplay. If you enter a battle, the music will pick up really fast, out of battle, it will be set to neutral playing a cautious tune. Not much to say here, except that the soundtrack really gives the game an emotional boost (But I will not say *spioler*)

THE BAD:
Like I said, The graphics are sweet, The boss battles are cool, and the speed is superb. But their is one problem, Their are only 3 Bosses, the story line is cheesy, and at the end, it will leave you with an empty feeling. (Wait until ZOE 2: The 2nd Runner, everything will be explained much more clearly).

SUMMARY:
Many Video Gamers view Zone of the Enders as an expensive Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo that came with a free game. Unfortunately thats not the case. You see, this is one of the most fastest, most mind blowing game you can possibly own (In Mech Games that is). The Graphics are top notch, Boss fights raise your heart beat in battles that are fought to the death, and the speed of this game is outragiously fast. Many times when my friends come over and see me playing ZOE, they just can't believe how fast it is moving. Screenshots won't do justice to the game, so this is a See it to Believe it game.
The controls may seem complicated at first, but later on, it will become second nature and everything will make sense. Left Analog to move, right to aim gun, R2 to boost, etc.
In the end, ZOE will leave you mesmorize by its gameplay. If that isn't enough, once beating the game, you will be rewarded with a versus mode that you and a CPU (or a Human Player) can fight in an all out 1 on 1 mech battle that will shine new light to this game. I found myself playing against a friend which adds more replay to the game.

Even though this game is made by Konami, it falls short of being that something it could of been.

The storyline is kind of dull and sometimes gets lost, could of been better

The gameplay mechanics itself are okay, but it just gets boring after awhile and you'll find yourself being bored

The game itself doesn't last that long, my friend can actually beat the game in a good 45 minutes, he doesn't get bored as easily you can tell

All in all, Zone Of Enders is nothing more than a poor game Konami made and they needed it to sell so they put the Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo inside of it, no wonder this game sold so much...

THE GOOD:
Great Graphics

THE BAD:
Not Enough Weapons, I need more of a variety.

SUMMARY:
It has a good storyline and has plenty of enemies to kill, but i wish it were longer. I have beat the game twice. This game is short so I would not buy it. It is fun to play though so rent it.

THE GOOD:
Great graphics .Nice sound .Outstanding and fun battle system .Nice story line .Fun versus mode .Full of action .

THE BAD:
Most people will beat it in under 6 hours .Only about 5 different types of enemys in the game .Searching for things becomes annoying after a while .The main character is a wuss .Sub-weapons aren't that good .Low replay value .

SUMMARY:
This game is hard to rate .On one hand fighting enemys is incredibly fun while on the other hand it is very short and has very low replay value .The games secrets aren't that good either .Zone of Enders is for mech fans or people who like fast paced games .

THE GOOD:
Great graphics, sound, and story

THE BAD:
The story mode is waaay to short, but the versus mode makes up for it a little.

SUMMARY:
This game is simply the best. I do like mech games (I have journey to Jaburo, Mechwarriors 2-4, Armored core 1 and 2, etc.) and this beats them all. It IS hard to beat but that doesn't make it bad, just grab the opposition by the horns and beat the living piss out of it! Don't aproach the game like a sissy; if you give it all you've got (yes those lvl 5 mummyheads CAN die) and you will win. And the better you are at the story mode the more crap you get in the versus mode. And BELIEVE ME you WILL like the versus mode, toasting your friends in a lvl 9 mummyhead feels just so...so perfect. Ten thumbs up!!!
