The newest entry in the revered series features plenty of awesome action, a great new character...and a bit of repetition.

"Nero was extremely easy to control: if you were even slightly familiar with the moves from previous DMC titles, you could easily pull off big combos that would kill most enemies in a matter of seconds. It was also easier to get behind the idea of playing this character: Nero appears to be a much more sarcastic hero than Dante, with numerous quips readily on the tip of his tongue for any situation, including various battle taunts. There was a downside to playing the demo: after smashing our way through various creatures and making them beg for mercy, it made us want to play more."

The demo was concluded with a question and answer period, where Kobayashi pointed out that the game is not two separate stories as previously thought, but instead one massive tale where the player will start and finish the Nero part of Devil May Cry 4 before picking up as Dante and finishing the entire game. There won't be an option to play through the entire title solely as one character or the other, either. There will be a large number of extras, and while he wasn't willing to discuss the possibility of downloads, he mentioned that the reward structure, rankings and achievements would be the same for both the PS3 and 360 versions of the game, which will run in 16:9 and 4:3 at 720p and 60 frames a second.
