THE GOOD:

> Amazing levels of customisation and creation are possible

> User friendly and easy to use, yet challenging to master

> Hundreds of levels already available

> Limitless playtime

> Hundreds of individual games packed into one with new one made everyday

> Thousands of items to find and many more to create to allow every level you design to be totally unique

> It's impossible to find two levels which are similiar online

> Family fun for up to four players on the same console or online

> Able to use real life images with the Playstation eye camera

> Create your own items and share them online

> It just keeps going on and on and gets better every single day!

THE BAD:

> Creating a level is fun and good, still finding a way to get players to play can sometimes be a challenge

> Creating complex set pieces for your levels can be bothersome if you do not watch the tutorials

> They're are a LOT of tutorials but on a plus note they are mostly stoppable

SUMMARY:

LittleBigPlanet is a dreamer's fantasy come true...and allow me to explain why

At the beginning you are thrust into pre-created levels simply to get to grips with the single player mode, and that alone is pretty fun, however after completing three basic levels you're allowed to access the online worlds. From there the fun begins.

I'll talk you through my first moments online, I selected 'quick play' and after only a moment of waiting I was attached to another players party and we where thrown in a user created world tribute to Silent Hill Homecoming. The level of detail and creativity the creator put into it was ASTONISHING! Everything from chilly scenes of horror to a cameo appearance of Pryamid Head (Aka the Boogeyman to newer fans of the series) and that level alone was a game worth buying. After exhausting my brain solving the puzzles set before me and finally beating the level the host returned to his 'pod' to select a new level. Pods are homes to the sack people where you may customise them in any way you desire, and select levels to play. The next level I played was a original level called Azure Castle. Once again I was astounded. Complex. Beautiful. Challenging. A work of art. I was only two levels into the game and I knew I was going to be playing LittleBigPlanet (LBP shortened) for a long time.

After that I broke away and began selecting my own levels with my partner in crime and good friend Christopher on the second controller. We explored Alcatraz, Mars, the Helghan planet (From the upcoming Killzone 2), Shadow Moses, Mirror's Edge, a musical tribute to Sweet Child 'o' Mine by Guns'n'Roses (Epic), Portal, Basketball, Football (Soccer), and soo many more that two hours had passed before I had even noticed how I could create my own level. Still under construction you can expect to see it soon.

Anyway back to business. The costumes deserve a mention, before I got the game I had discovered that Sony are releasing down-loadable skins and characters from their games. Motorstorm racer, Nariko, Solid Snake, Sephiroth, Chimera from Resistance and more available by the day. Even if you don't like any of them, you can personalise and modify your Sack person to your exact vision. A pretty Sack Girl with long hair and a wedding dress? How about the legendary Slash? A Red Sack Power Ranger? A Pokemon Sack? Sonic? Master Chief? Helghan? Whatever you want it is possible.

I really have much more to say but I cannot put it into better words than these: "Buy this game and you will not regret it! Especially in the run up to Christmas you can expect to see some cheery Christmas levels popping up soon if there is none already."

Gameplay: Simple and fun while perfect for creativity, 9 of 10
Story: N/A
Replay Value: Endless, 10 of 10
Graphics: Just perfect for what it is, 10 of 10
Sound: Boring at first but you may create your own with effort, 8 of 10

Overall: 37/40, 92.5/100, Rougle to 4.6/5 but extra point for just plain brilliance so 4.7/5
